Himachal Pradesh : Himachal Pradesh is a northern Indian state in the Himalayas. It's home to scenic mountain towns and resorts such as Dalhousie. Host to the Dalai Lama, Himachal Pradesh has a strong Tibetan presence. This is reflected in its Buddhist temples and monasteries, as well as its vibrant Tibetan New Year celebrations. The region is also well known for its trekking, climbing and skiing areas.

The magical Tirthan Valley || Gushaini || Raju's Cottage
Tirthan valley, located in Himachal Pradesh is still a lesser explored valley than other similar places in the state. I got the wonderful opportunity to go, explore the place for a period of 2 days. Not only this, I, along with a few other extremely interesting people got to stay at this wonderful home-stay, called 'Raju's Cottage' which is probably one of the best properties that I've stayed all across Himachal Pradesh.
This is my attempt at filming the Tirthan Valley and presenting Raju's Cottage in a way that I feel I could. It's a beautiful place and you owe it to yourself to go visit the place. :)

I went to Tirthan Valley with some of my friends and had a great time. Tirthan is not a commercial place so it’s best to ditch the city life for few days and recharge yourself. I spent three days in this valley and the experience was awesome.
Here is the vlog to Day 1. I hope all of you will like this video :)

TIRTHAN VALLEY || DAY-3 || JIBHI WATERFALL || CHAINI FORT ||
Perched at an altitude of over 1600 meters above sea level, the riverside retreat of Tirthan is an adventure-centric getaway blessed with a wealth of nature’s treasures.
Located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, Tirthan Valley derives its name from the Tirthan river, which winds its way through it. The pristine river originates from the icy cold glacial springs of Hanskund, a snow-capped peak in the verdant Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP).
Tirthan is an offbeat destination that has something for everyone. This quiet valley is ideal for trekking, fishing, wildlife watching, and discovering under-explored hill villages.
There’s also the option of doing absolutely nothing as you relax among the pine trees in the valley.

Trek to Serolsar Lake
Serolsar Lake is located at an altitude of 3199 m. It is surrounded by thick vegetation of alpine forests. There is a myth that even if a small leaf falls into the Lake the birds around takes them out of the lake and keeps the water crystal clear. The water of the lake is believed to have medicinal properties.
The Lake has a narrow walking track lined up with thick tall trees on the outer side. On one side of the Lake is a small temple of Buddha Nagini. The devotees worship and offer ghee to the deity. It is said that the lake is very deep and that Budhi Nagin herself lived in a golden palace at the bottom of the lake.
The trek from Jalori Pass to Serolsar Lake is a 5 km one way and takes about 2 hrs. The trek starts from just below the temple atop Jalori pass.
