MANUEL ANTONIO | COSTA RICA 2019

Spring Break 2019 took us to Costa Rica! Without much knowledge about the country we took an early flight from Orlando headed towards San Jose. After landing we found our way to the bus that took us to our final destination: Manuel Antonio. We jumped off waterfalls, swam in the ocean, hiked in the jungle, ate amazing food and watched the most beautiful sunsets. This trip was the perfect escape from our school routine, we fell in love with this country!

It’s the only working farm here in Manuel Antonio. Everybody lines up right before sunset on the benches because we get amazing, uninterrupted, sunset views at Ronny’s Place.

Ronny’s place does have a few signature drinks, such as their sangria, which the Lonely Planet Travel book voted as the best sangria in Manuel Antonio. Today we’re enjoying a little more than happy hour at the Z Gastro Bar in the Marina Pez Vela, in Quepos, Costa Rica. Z Gastro Bar absolutely has some of the best seafood in Costa Rica. Our Discovery Beach House ( concierge, Sabrina, and I are on a happy hour tour of Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica and the surrounding areas. However, today, we indulged in appetizers and a full meal. We were hungry! Owner, Dean Paquette, and his wonderful chefs treated us to the most delicious seafood.

Z Gastro Bar has arguably the best seafood in all of Costa Rica. When you come to Costa Rica, and when you come to Manuel Antonio and Quepos, definitely come to the Marina Pes Vela. It’s only been here for three years and has some wonderful shops and restaurants. When visiting Costa Rica, you now have three wonderful places to explore, Manuel Antonio, Quepos, and the Marina Pez Vela.

Hey guys, today we are here at Manuel Antonio National Park, we're here with Daniel who is going to be our guide today and so we're hoping to see some really cool wildlife and get to know the park a little better with our trusty guide so we can't wait to show you guys so let's go.

Although it is the smallest national park in Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio National Park is the most visited national park in the country and the second most visited in Latin America. Just 3 hours from San Jose International Airport, Manuel Antonio is one of the must see places in Costa Rica thanks to the beautiful white sand beaches and exotic wildlife.

For anyone who really wants to see wildlife in the park, we highly recommend getting a guide. Manuel Antonio National Park is home to over 300 species of birds, over 100 species of mammals and over 300 species of plants. In this park alone, you can see three different types of monkeys and both the two and 3 fingered sloths.

By getting a guide, you will have greater chances to see the wildlife.Our guide found lots of interesting animals for us like sloths, a laughing falcon, insects and other birds and he shared a lot of fascinating information about the rainforest, beaches and mangroves inside the park. You can find guides to hire at the entrance of the national park or you can book a tour which also includes transportation and the national park entrance fee.

The park has several trails, including one universal access trail and you can hike to a waterfall and to several different viewpoints. There are a few beaches inside the park which are very nice for swimming.

It's worth spending one full day at Manuel Antonio National Park to enjoy the stunning beaches, hike a little through the lush rainforest and see the wildlife that call this amazing place home.
