Pitt Lake Wilderness Tour
SERENITY is the one word that describes this tour to the wilderness of Pitt Lake. After passing through the bustling activity on the Fraser River, passengers will emerge into the quiet tranquility and panoramic beauty of a majestic fjord. This beautiful, fresh water tidal lake is one of the largest of its kind. Grassy, reverse deltas appear daily in the center of the lake as the tide recedes. We'll travel along the cliff side and observe the ancient First Nations pictographs. This area is still a wilderness and home to bears, deer and cougars. Our entertaining narrator will tell you about the history, legends and ecology of this amazing area.
Sailing on our 40-passenger catamaran, the Beta Stars, this vessel also features scenic cruises such as the North Arm Luncheon Tour and the annual Celebration of Lights Fireworks Cruise.

Boyfriend Bought a Boat: Pitt Lake 2017
Yoseb and Hubert (his sister's boyfriend) went halfsies on a boat. This was our first day taking it out to Pitt Lake. We did pretty well for none of us ever driving one on our own before.
PS. I haven't uploaded since end cards exist so I will need to fix that asap - ignore the ug for now :)

SP Trains #1288 West Coast Express at Ditton Street 2019-10-24
West Coast Express is our commuter rail service from the central Fraser Valley into downtown Vancouver. They run five trains in the morning, inbound (west)push mode, and five in the evening, outbound, (east) pull mode.
I had returned to a spot on the Canadian Pacific Cascade Sub where it is crossed by Ditton Street. Once a popular spot not far from my home. Now it's a quiet crossing with additional signage that gets in the way of good shooting. and, really, a little too close for good video.
This is the fifth and last train westbound with cab-car 105 leading and WCE904 providing the power.

Recorded with a Canon XA 55 4KHD Pro video camera at 1920x1080 resolution For outdoor shooting, it is equipped with an Azden SMX-10 High-Performance Stereo Condenser Microphone mounted inside a Rode Blimp Windshield on a Rycote Shock Mount Suspension System. A Neewer NW74K 7-Inch 1920x1080 Field Monitor is also used . All equipment is then mounted on a custom bar attached to a CanadianStudio Pro Heavy Duty EI-717 72 Tripod with Fluid Pan Head.

Oakland Athletics
The Oakland Athletics are a Major League Baseball team based in Oakland, California. The Athletics are a member of the Western Division of Major League Baseball's American League. From 1968 to the present, the Athletics have played in the Oakland Coliseum since moving to Oakland. Overall, the A's have won nine World Series championships, the third-best total in Major League Baseball (trailing only the New York Yankees and the St. Louis Cardinals).
The Athletics name originates from the late 19th century athletic clubs, specifically the Philadelphia Athletics baseball club. They are popularly nicknamed the A's, in reference to the Gothic script A, a trademark of the team and the old Athletics of Philadelphia. They are also known as the White Elephants or simply the Elephants, in reference to then New York Giants' manager John McGraw's calling the team a white elephant. This was embraced by the team, who then made a white elephant the team's mascot, and often incorporated it into the logo or sleeve patches. During the team's 1970s heyday, management often referred to the team as The Swingin' A's, referencing both their prodigious power and to connect the team with the growing disco culture.

Swan Lake Canoe Fishing Trip (April 2014)
Saturday we tried out our new (to us) cedar strip canoe and tested the waters. We had a blast, even if we didn't catch any fish.
