Watson's Bay | MUST SEE DAY TRIP FROM SYDNEY
After exploring the city yesterday, today we made our way out to the coast to explore the beautiful Watson’s Bay. Just the 25 minute ferry ride from Circular Quay is almost reason enough for the trip with the awesome views of the city, harbor, and coastal towns.
We then reached our destination and immediately loved the vibe of Watson’s Bay. We started with a take away lunch from Doyle’s on the Wharf and enjoyed fish and chips overlooking the bay.
We made the short walk up to the Gap Park lookout and continued walking along the stunning coastline from there.
We finished our time at Watson’s Bay with another walk along the South Head Heritage trail before hopping on the ferry to head back to the city.
We absolutely loved our time at Watson’s Bay and would consider this to be a MUST SEE in Sydney

For our pops birthday we decided to go out to a small restaurant on a wharf called Doyles on the Wharf. The view there was amazing and the trip over was just as enjoyable!

Watsons Bay is Australia's oldest fishing village and remains a thriving local inlet popular for its scenic locale and fresh seafood.
Overlooking a prime expanse of Sydney Harbour, Doyles on the Beach has long been a fine dining Sydney institution for those looking to experience fresh fish, lobsters, prawns and more.
For those wishing to settle into a longer afternoon of views, cocktails and the warm bustle of a friendly crowd, the Beach Club and the Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel provide great waterside venues.
One of the best ways to enjoy the harbour views around Watsons Bay is to take a coastal walk. There are two walking paths from Watsons Bay wharf – one which takes you north past Lady Bay Beach, which permits nude bathing, and then on to South Head where you can see the Hornby Lighthouse. The other walking path meanders south past The Gap, an ocean cliff facing the Tasman Sea, and then along past the Signal Station and Macquarie Lighthouse.
Steeped in history, Watsons Bay is home to several buildings that date back to the 19th Century. St Peter's Church on Old South Head Road is a tourist favourite, while on the same street there is also a Scout Hall and a former school residence designed by the prominent 19th century Sydney architect George Mansfield.
The southern coastal walk will also take you past the site where the full-rigged passenger ship, The Dunbar, was famously shipwrecked in 1857.
Watsons Bay is also only a short drive away from Sydney's iconic Bondi Beach. To visit Bondi after spending a day at Watsons Bay, simply travel south along Old South Head Road and then turn left onto Military Road (which changes to Campbell Parade) to enjoy the sights and sounds of Australia's most loved beach. The Line 380 bus travels along this route routinely.

So far this was by far one of the most incredible places I have visited in Sydney. From it being less crowded than tourist driven areas, really clean and picture perfect settings this is a must go to place whilst visiting Sydney Australia.
