Watson Falls Oregon 2019
The Watson Falls trail leaves from a parking lot, and climbs up a short, somewhat steep but well-tended path, and crosses a series of bridges at the base of the falls. Pause here for an attractive view of the falls, and then proceed along a path to your left for a closer view of the basin several hundred feet farther along the path. Return back down the side trail to the juncture and complete the loop back to the parking lot for a total hike of approximately 0.8 miles.
Watson Falls, Oregon - Highest Waterfall in Southwest Oregon
A plunge type of falls, this majestic Oregon waterfall is the highest in southwest Oregon, plunging 272 feet over the edge of a
basalt lava flow. A wooden bridge crosses Watson Creek 0.3 mile from the trailhead, and offers an excellent view of the falls. The falls are also visible from the parking area.

Watson Falls Waterfall Dive with Race Drone
I had been itching to dive Watson Falls, and Nate (WREKZit FPV) and I finally had a Monday when we could get up there and give it a go.
At 293', Watson is the 2nd largest single drop waterfall in the state of Oregon, and only about 45 minutes from where I live.
It was WAY wetter than I thought it would be at the spot I had planned on taking off from, but I wasn't about to not fly after hiking my butt all the way up there!
One battery, one flight, and the raw flight footage included ....
Only issue: My drones had ZERO waterproofing at this time!
But, like I say in the video, It is what we came for.

Toketee Falls, Oregon - Inspiring Waterfall in Southern Oregon
Venture through a trail of old-growth forest along the North Umpqua River with views of cascading water through a narrow rock gorge and you will come to Toketee falls. The trail has 200 steps leading to a sturdy deck overlooking the two-tiered falls.
The upper descent drops 40-feet, and the lower falls plunge 80-feet over a sheer wall of volcanic basalt. In the Chinook language, the word Toketee means pretty, or graceful, an apt name for such an inspiring waterfall.

Waterfalls of Oregon, Umpqua River
Beginning in the beautiful Diamond and Maidu lake basins of the High Cascades, the North Umpqua River system may be blessed with more waterfalls than any other river system in the state, outside of the Columbia River Gorge. During its 250 mile journey to the Pacific at Reedsport, the river basin, and its unique geology, create over 20 major waterfalls, including Watson Falls at 272', the fourth highest in the state. The South Umpqua creates another half dozen unique waterfalls in its smaller drainage basin. This 58-minute meditative video tour, shot primarily in Spring and Fall, with only the sounds of the water and instrumental music, is designed to be enjoyed over and over again, feeding the soul as well as your eyes and ears, taking you to places that you might not otherwise visit, sometimes to places right in your own part of Oregon.
