Walking at Vlychada beach, in Santorini Greece - Ultra HD [4K 60] Nature Sounds of waves, rain
Better resolution
Walking at Vlychada beach, located on the south coast of Santorini, 13 kilometers from Fira (center os the island). It stands out for the overwhelming carved cliffs that resemble a sculptor’s work but is, in fact, a natural process owed to the volcano, the wind and the sea. It is a lengthy beach with relatively shallow waters and dark volcanic sand and pebbles, like most beaches in Santorini. Not that crowded, you can spend many relaxing hours here and cherish the spectacular sight all around. Enjoy nature sounds by the beach, wave sounds walking in the beach.

Santorini, Greece - Vlychada - AtlasVisual
Santorini Video Map:
Vlychada is located in the southern part of the island, slightly to the west and 13 km from Fira and is a very beautiful and quiet beach. It is quite extensive, with dark yellowish sand between volcanic rocks smoothed by the wind and the waves that form caves, steep edges, natural sculptures one might say, like a lunar landscape. On the beach there are sun loungers, umbrellas, and a canteen.

Lost City of Atlantis - Santorini Greece..What do your think?

What do you think???
In 1960, while excavating, they discovered some evidence thet the legendary Atlantis, might actually be Santorini per Plato's description. With the eruption of Thera, which caused a tsunami it was destroyed. Even if it isn't Atlantis, Santorini is certainly amazing and a must see!
Some musts when traveling to Santorini Thira; First and foremost.... is viewing the sunset in Oia. Santorini is known for having the most amazing sunsets and believe me, I was not disappointed. Santorini is the typical Greek Island with the beautiful white buildings with the blue roofs best viewed on a boat trip around the island. Here you will get the most beautiful view of Santoini and its buildings and my favorite, the windmills. The boat will even take you over to the caldera where you can swim in the hot springs or just walk on the hot rocks. Also a must while you are there is rent an ATV and enjoy the island. I was afraid at first because the buses are crazy, but when I saw a bus coming up behind me I would pull over to let them pass instead of taking the chance of being run off the road. We went to ancient Thira and were able to ride all the way to the top. There is a cave on the way up that I would suggest not to miss, with a spring inside. Also a must is their beautiful red beach. It is one of the most popular, so it gets crowded. Most people just go to see it and never actually climb down to enjoy, which due to time, is what we did. I would suggest taking the time and enjoying the beauty of it. They also have a white beach and the famous gorgeous black beach of Kamari, which you will find at the foot of Ancient Thira.
Many movies were filmed here, such as Tomb raider's Cradle of life. where in the movie an earthquake opened up the lost city of Atlantis.
Jules Vernes, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and The mysterious island Vernes came to Santorini during the major eruptions of 1866 - 1870 and wrote his book just after it.
Santorini is ranked as the top island in Europe, and it is one of the top wedding destinations in the entire world, that really is saying something!!!
It is one of the once in a life time must see destinations of the world!

15 Things to do on Santorini, Greece Travel Guide Video Transcript: (Σαντορίνη / Θήρα Ελλάδα):
We got our first glimpse of Santorini aboard the ferry and it was immediately apparent why this place has been linked to the Lost City of Atlantis.
What was once a single island, was destroyed by a massive volcanic eruption, and all that remains today is the caldera rising out of the Aegean Sea.
The first thing that caught our attention were the soaring red cliffs, and atop these, a collection of villages, all painted white.
We imagined we’d spend our week in Santorini just lounging around, but the island lured us out to hike its trails, get lost in its towns, and look back at its history. So with that in mind, in this travel guide we’re going to share with you a few things to do in Santorini on your visit!
The hike from Fira to Oia turned out to be our favourite activity on the island, but we’ll warn you, it took us closer to 5 hours, so go prepared with lots of sunscreen, plenty of water, and a few snacks to sustain you along the way.
Of course, no trip to Santorini would be complete without spending a bit of time in Oia.
Situated on the northern tip of the island and built on the slope of the caldera, this is probably the most picturesque town on the island, and a very popular spot right around sunset.
We had a leisurely ride out to the island and once we docked, we paid an additional 2 Euros and 50 cents per person for admission to Nea Kameni Volcanic Park.
From there we hiked along a gravel path until we reached the top of the crater, where we did a full circuit around the rim.
There were a few spots where we could even see active sulphur vents.
And that’s a wrap for our time in Santorini! We came here thinking we’d do a whole lot of relaxing and not much else, but as it turns out, this is a great island for an active holiday.
Our week in Santorini was spent village hopping, hiking the trails, learning about the island’s history, and feasting on Greek food.
It was the perfect way to end our travels in Greece, and also wrap up our Eurotrip.
Wishing you happy travels, and we’ll see you in the next video!
This is part of our Travel in Greece video series showcasing Greek food, Greek culture and Greek cuisine.

Athens: The Cycladic Museum of Art
The Museum of Cycladic Art houses one of the most complete private collections of Cycladic art worldwide.
The Cyclades constituted a “circle” of islands in the Agean surrounding the sacred island of Delos, including Naxos, Ios, Mykonos, and Thira (Now Santorini). Cycladic culture began in 3300 BC, when it was increasingly influenced by Minoan Crete, finally ending in 1500 after the eruption of Santorini.
The iconic pose of Cycladic art has some antecedents but the classic pose of a figure, mostly female, with arms crossed below her breasts has inspired artists through the ages up to Giacometti and Henry Moore. This museum has the finest, life sized sculptures with this pose.
Greek Art in the museum is not displayed in complete chronological order but begins with Bronze Age proto-geometric art from Attica, Mycenae, and art from The Minoan Civilization in Crete.
The geometric period begins in Attica after the “Greek Dark Ages” in about 900 BC. It is identified by geometric patterns and figures made up from triangular shapes.
This period lasted until The Archaic period in 750 BC. Archaic from archaios in Greek means “old.” This period lasted until the end of The Persian Wars in 480 BC.
After the wars, the classical period begins, which gave rise to the apex of Greek Sculpture and Architecture, including The Parthenon and Temple of Poseidon, built in the middle of The Fifth Century BC.
Shaking hands is a common motif on funerary steles.
After Phillip of Macedon conquered Athens in 323 BC, the period is called “Hellenistic.”
The Cypriot Art in this museum is housed in curious surroundings. The pottery is presented in ten cases, covering a wide spectrum from the mid-third Millennium BC to Late Antiquity.
In the Chalcolithic period (3900-2500 BC) a considerable number of highly stylized human figurines were produced in Cyprus.
A wave of Greek Settlement took place following the Bronze Age collapse of Mycenaean Greece from 1100 to 1050 BC. Cypress was under the control of Persia until the end of The Persian Wars, which helps explain why their art differed from the rest of Greece until that time.

GREECE, EXPLORING the 2004 Olympic Games Stadium in ATHENS (by Santiago Calatrava) ????️

The Olympic Stadium of Athens Spyros Louis (Greek: Ολυμπιακό Στάδιο Αθηνών Σπύρος Λούης, Olympiakó Stádio Athinon Spyros Louis) is a sports stadium in Athens, Greece. It is a part of the Athens Olympic Sports Complex and is named after the first modern Olympic marathon gold medalist in 1896, Spyros Louis. The stadium hosts two of the biggest sport clubs in Greece, Panathinaikos and AEK Athens. The stadium served as the main stadium during the 2004 Summer Olympics.
Athens is the capital of Greece. It was also at the heart of Ancient Greece, a powerful civilization and empire. The city is still dominated by 5th-century BC landmarks, including the Acropolis, a hilltop citadel topped with ancient buildings like the colonnaded Parthenon temple. The Acropolis Museum, along with the National Archaeological Museum, preserves sculptures, vases, jewelry and more from Ancient Greece.
Greece is a country in southeastern Europe with thousands of islands throughout the Aegean and Ionian seas. Influential in ancient times, it's often called the cradle of Western civilization. Athens, its capital, retains landmarks including the 5th-century B.C. Acropolis citadel with the Parthenon temple. Greece is also known for its beaches, from the black sands of Santorini to the party resorts of Mykonos.
