My Sydney 2003 - Beloved Waverley
Nostalgic virtual tour of Waverley and its library in 2003. The tour is around Bondi Junction down to Bondi Beach and then out through Ben Buckler. It is an historical document I dedicate to the Waverley Library and future historians.

Andrew Tink - Lord Sydney

We know his name, but who was the man called Sydney? Shaped by his experience as home secretary during the American Revolutionary War, Lord Sydney was a key figure in the decision to send convicts to Botany Bay. He and Captain Phillip shared a unique vision for the new colony: a place with no slavery, convicts encouraged to redeem themselves through land grants, an ordinary rule of law rather than military law, and the Europeans were to live ‘in amity and kindness’ with the Aborigines. Sydney is more than just a name he is a man who shaped the character of our country.
A barrister before entering the NSW Parliament, Andrew Tink was a member of the Legislative Assembly for 19 years where he served among other things as shadow attorney general and shadow leader of the house. Since stepping back from active politics, Andrew has published two books: William Charles Wentworth Australia’s greatest native son, which won the ‘Nib’ CAL Waverley Award for Literature in 2010; and Lord Sydney (the life and times of Tommy Townshend). Andrew is a visiting fellow at Macquarie University’s law school and a member of the Library Council of NSW.

Bondi to Bronte coastal walk / Sydney Australia HD
The Bondi to Coogee Coastal walk with its combination of beaches, parks and spectacular views make this trek unique. I wandered a bit on the Bondi to Bronte walk with my video and action cam. Great view I had on the Waverley Cemetery and on to Coogee with the beaches and coves in Bronte and Tamarama. The road has an average gradient along the cliffs, with occasional benches but also many stairs.

Tamarama, New South Wales
Tamarama is a beachside, eastern suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Tamarama is 7 kilometres east of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Waverley Council. Tamarama is affectionately nicknamed Glamarama by the locals, as it is a beach where wannabe trend setters come to sunbathe and swim or simply try to be seen.
Tamarama has a small ocean beach about 1 kilometre south of Bondi Beach and a couple of hundred metres north of Bronte Beach. The suburb is mostly residential and the beach and adjacent parklands have been popular places for recreation such as swimming, surfing, sunbaking and picnics for more than a century.
This video is targeted to blind users.

Box Hill Institute to open new Lilydale Community Education Precinct
On 19 October 2015 Premier Daniel Andrews announced that the Box Hill Institute has been named as the preferred respondent and will now enter into final negotiations to revitalise and reopen the former Swinburne University of Technology campus at Lilydale.
The precinct will be much more than the reopening of a TAFE or Higher Education campus, it will be transformed into a comprehensive education precinct for the community that truly encompasses lifelong learning - from early childhood to higher education and beyond.
Some courses will commence in February 2016.
