A walk past a bridge and some shrines lead me to this beautiful, secluded Shrine in the woods.
Romantic and Historic Uji City (宇治市）, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan
Uji City (宇治市） is located south of Kyoto Prefecture and about an half hour train ride from the JR Kyoto Station. I compare Uji City with the Arashiyama district in Kyoto, in terms of romanticism and historical importance. Uji city also contains many beautiful temples and shrines that are recognized as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites. This city is serviced by both JR Nara Line and the Keihan Electric Railway.
One of the most important association of the Uji city is with the last ten chapters of the Heian era (11th century) classic novel Tale of Genji (源氏物語） called Uji Chapters. This novel was written by Murasaki Shikibu. If you happen to read the novel, you can associate many Uji Chapter references with the sights in this video.

Ashikaga school (足利学校) - the oldest school in Japan, old town and temple 足利氏宅跡 鑁阿寺 (1196) [4K] POV
Ashikaga city is located in Tochigi prefecture at the north of Tokyo.
Shogun Ashikaga clan (1338-) originated in it.
足利市は、足利氏発祥の地で、日本で最も古い学校、足利学校があります。足利学校のとなりには、足利氏宅跡 鑁阿寺(ばんなじ)(1196)があり、本堂は国宝にも指定されています。
今回、JR足利駅付近から足利学校まで歩いて街の様子を見学しました。
一昔前の町並みですが、きれいで落ち着いた雰囲気でした。
足利学校〜鑁阿寺の間は石畳で、古い町並みを再現していました。

Baikasai (梅花祭) Geisha Plum Blossom Tea Festival
Baikasai is a Plum Blossom Festival at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kyoto where Geisha and Maiko (geisha apprentice) make and serve tea to visitors on February 25 from 10-3.
It costs about 1500Yen to participate and you can choose between sitting at a table or taking your shoes off and sitting on the floor.

HEIANJINGU SHRINE was built in 1895. One of the best shrine in KYOTO.There is a cherry blossoms garden. Entrance fee is 600 yen but it’s worth to see. If you missed to see cherry blossoms or almost gone,here might be a place to see as there are some kind of cherry blossoms. On the day I went,BENI SHIDAREZAKURA(weeping cherry tree) was fully bloomed.

The annual Baikasai (Ume Blossom Festival) in the drizzle complete with Nodaté outdoor tea party. Ume, or Prunus mume is commonly known in the West as Chinese plum or Japanese apricot. Its blossoms resemble those of sakura, or Prunus serrulata (Japanese fruitless cherry). Ume, unlike sakura, produces fruits that are lethal when eaten raw as they are poisoned with natural potassium cyanide; but its pickled and sun-dried fruit (ume boshi) is perfectly all right and even good for the health.
毎年恒例の京都は北野天滿宮に於る梅花祭(ばいかさい)。野點(のだて)が有名だが、今回は生憎の小雨の中での決行。

昨年の紅葉を撮った大阪府高槻市の神峯山寺の青モミジです。
新名神高速道路が開通してお寺のすぐ横を通っているので、アプローチの道路は大幅に変わっていました。昨年は工事中だった仁王門も新しく塗装がされていてモミジの緑によく映えていました。
今回はこの仁王門を中心にまとめてみました。
