Bad Drivers Dashcam Compilation #271 - Worst Fails in Napa Valley
We have a very exciting episode full of really dumb drivers here in the Napa Valley, the usual road rage, honking, yelling, close calls and crazy people.
In one of my clips, a driver is flashing and honking at me to get out of the left lane on the freeway, even though I was doing 10 over the limit already and intending to pass slower traffic. But was I wrong not to yield to a speeding driver by moving over? According to the California Vehicle Code, I did nothing wrong by remaining in the left lane. CVC 21654. (a) Notwithstanding the prima facie speed limits, any vehicle proceeding upon a highway at a speed less than the normal speed of traffic moving in the same direction at such time shall be driven in the right-hand lane. Certainly, going above the speed limit does not constitute proceeding at less than the normal speed of traffic. Keep in mind that the law varies from state to state.
We start the compilation off with an Uber driver pulling out too close on the freeway. Then a driver flips off another for an unclear reason. A girl in Fairfield gets pissed that someone calls her out for blocking a driveway, so she yells at him. We also feature quite a few close cut offs.
We also have a driving fail mess with people doing all kinds of things wrong with some horn honking. A driver cheats traffic by abusing a turn lane. An incompetent driver making an illegal U-turn in front of a cop gets lucky, because the officer has her eyes on another driver. We came across quite a few last second decisions and an illegal pass from an impatient driver.
We captured some slow drivers getting honked at and passed, distracted motorists sitting at green lights and hesitating, jaywalkers, drivers on the wrong side of the road, blocking my way, sitting in the road or otherwise cutting me off.
We saw a bad red light runner and a BMW who doesn't think the laws apply to him, a massive dual-turn fail and some more highly stupid drivers pulling into traffic when not clear.

Sonoma Wine Country - California - July 2019 - Roadtrip Vlog
Sonoma Wine Country is the other half of the wine producing region of the Bay Area. Although both areas share a world famous wine and food heritage, both could not be more different from each other. Sonoma is laid back with wide open wineries and less tourists.

Sonoma is a perfect getaway when visiting San Francisco. It's situated 45 miles north of San Francisco. It's said to be as Napa Valley was 20 years ago, and it really feels genuine and picturesque. Make a stop in Sonoma City before entering the vineyards. Sonoma City is a beautiful little town with a historic town plaza.

Napa Valley - From the Mountains to the Bay

Bad Drivers of Napa 88
Clip 1 - Some ghetto dude near American Canyon on Highway 29 cuts us off close with no blinker. He gets pissed at being honked and almost crashes into the car in front of him because he's too preoccupied looking back at us. Then when we catch back up to him at a red light, he's looking for something on the floorboard and keeps letting up on the brake and hitting it again. Then he gives up looking for whatever he's digging around for and when the light turns green cuts across all lanes of traffic in one move.
Clip 2 - Really bad driver is driving erratically. Can't hold lane, randomly slowing down and almost sideswipes us.
Clip 3 - Distracted oncoming driver drifts into our lane.
Clip 4 - Caltrans employee makes a sudden turn in front of us.
Clip 5 - Driver can't plan ahead and makes last second decision.
Clip 6 - Moped driver lane splits us as we're stopped for a red light. No problem there. He's eyeballing some girls in short shorts crossing in the crosswalk. He beeps at them like a perv while staring at them. Then while the light is still red he makes a right turn on red, but from a lane splitting position. Not smart!!
Clip 7 - Guy who drives into parking lot and keeps heading toward us.
Clip 8 - Getting stuck at a broken red light.
Clip 9 - A WTF moment.
Clip 10 - Left lane bandit in Vallejo on Highway 29.
Clip 11 - Left lane bandit near American Canyon on HWY 29.
Clip 12 - Near rear-ender on Highway 780 in Benicia.
Clip 13 - Red light runner in Benicia.
Clip 14 - On Highway 29, a driver starts to ignore a yield sign, until we honk.
Clip 15 - Close cut off in American Canyon.
Clip 16 - Driver ignores green light.
Clip 17 - Woman putting on makeup while driving, doesn't notice the green light. We give longer honk.
Clip 18 - Man driving while talking on cell phone.
Clip 19 - Suicidal pedestrian on Soscol Ave.
Clip 20 - Boys who decide to just step right out in front of the only car on the road, to cross the street. Legal, but inconsiderate in this case. Let's see..........They could either stop, sacrificing 1 second of their time while letting me go past unhindered. But they chose to instead, go ahead and walk out, wasting 10 seconds of my time, wear and tear on my brakes, wasting gas restarting again, while saving themselves a whole whopping 1 sec. Do the math! Those boys weren't thinking logically. People don't use their fucking heads!!

Our friends Bobby and Jessica invited us to Napa for Jessica's birthday party - a house party on a vineyard! We said yes (of course!) and flew into SFO where we rented a Silvercar Audi A4 for the drive to Sonoma (Healdsburg) California. This region is also known as the Russian River valley and is known for the pinot noir from here (Napa is about an hour east of this). We went wine tasting at Chateau Diane, then Ferrari Carrano, and eventually ended up back at the vineyard house. We played badminton and grilled out, and had a chef cater a vegetarian dinner for us at sunset (we got some EPIC drone shots!). We ended the night tasting wine and watching movies under the stars - if you ask me it was a pretty amazing birthday. Thanks for the invite Bobby and Jessica, now we have to think of an epic birthday adventure to invite YOU two on!
