Weavers Creek Falls - Harrison Park in Owen Sound, Ontario
In an area bountiful with waterfalls, Weavers Creek Falls is often overlooked. This is a small but pretty waterfall within Harrison Park in Owen Sound, Ontario.
The waterfall is a short walk up a trail from the main park road. The waters empty into the Sydenham River, the source for nearby Inglis Falls. A short distance away, the Sydenham empties into Georgian Bay at Owen Sound Harbour.

Inglis Falls, Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada
One of three waterfalls that surround the city of Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, Inglis Falls is the best known and most visited. Situated in the heart of the 200-hectare Inglis Falls Conservation Area, Inglis Falls is an 18-metre high cascade, created by the Sydenham River meeting the edge of the Niagara Escarpment.
The water over the falls used to be partially diverted for hydro electric power generation, grain milling, and Owen Sound drinking water.

Winter Waterfall Hike in Owen Sound
Winter Waterfall Hike in Owen Sound, Ontario at Inglis Falls is a Canadian winter wonderland. It's as easy as getting up from the couch.
Make sure to bring your camera and some hot chocolate as Inglis Falls is a spectacular time spent with family, friends and dogs (on a leash of course). Routes range from 20min hikes to 3 hr loops. There's even routes on the Bruce Trail by the Niagara Escarpment. Did you know the Niagara Escarpment used to be a sea shelf when the Owen Sound was under water? Inglis Falls is just one of Owen Sound's six waterfall tours that can be explore by getting a waterfall brochure map from any visitor centre. I recommend the Owen Sound Visitor Centre at the old rail station downtown at 1155 1st Avenue West, Owen Sound (519) 371-9833.
You can even download a Waterfall Tour Map PDF:

Inglis Falls in Owen Sound, Ontario (June, 2018)
Inglis Falls results from the Sydenham River falling over the Niagara Escarpment, just southwest from the centre of Owen Sound, Ontario. The waterfall is within the boundaries of the Inglis Falls Conservation Area and stands 18 metres or 59 feet in height.
It should be noted that this is one of two Sydenham Rivers in Ontario. The other is located further to the southwest and empties into lake St. Clair. This river travels through Owen Sound and shortly after empties into Georgian Bay.
It also should be noted that there is a $6 fee per vehicle to park at this location. Grey Sauble Conservation has started a new 'pay by smartphone' system. This is a bit flawed. If you went to more than one of their parks in a single day, you would have to pay at each one. The $41 seasonal fee is great but it is tagged to one license plate. Therefore, if you have more than one vehicle, you must always use the one in order to use the season's pass.

Owen Sound - Where you want to live
The video captures the essence of what makes Owen Sound a community of choice. Few communities can boast of the unique quality of life enjoyed in Owen Sound, on Georgian Bay at the foot the Bruce Peninsula, part of the world-famous Niagara Escarpment.
The video includes footage by local photographers and filmmakers, with a special appearance by Owen Sound's Olympian and World Cup skiier, Larisa Yurkiw. The cover song, A Beautiful Life, is performed by Owen Sound musical duo Beckon.
Owen Sound -- Where you want to live was produced by the Economic Development and Tourism department with co-operation from many tourism and community partners. Please share the video with family, friends and anyone who has an interest in Owen Sound.
