Yanjiao (Chinese: 燕郊; pinyin: Yànjiāo; literally: Yan suburbs) is a town under the administration of Sanhe City in central Hebei province, bordering Tongzhou District, Beijing across the Chaobai River to the west, located 35 kilometres (22 mi) east of Tiananmen Square and 21 km (13 mi) west of Sanhe. It has a population of 250,000, with long-term residents accounting for 147,000 and migrants taking the rest; 97.9% of the population is of Han ethnicity. As of 2011, it has 55 villages under its administration.

As a satellite town of Beijing, Yanjiao is famous for its “shuttle” tide of people, who go to Beijing every morning and return from Beijing every evening. According to the statistics, there are more than 300 thousand of people travel to and from between Beijing and Yanjiao.

Why this happens? Why the people prefer Yanjiao?

Only one reason: the lower living cost, both the house rent and the price of real estate, and it is not far from Beijing.

With the great population, the town of Yanjiao actually looks like a city. In some ways, it is more prosperous than most 4th tier cities in China.

成府路，西起现在的北京大学东门，东到学院路，全段近四公里；由于成府路内六十年代初到七十年代末建有北京八大学院，即北京大学、清华大学、北京语言学院、北京外语学院、北京地质学院、北京煤炭学院、北京矿业学院和北京钢铁学院；因此，成府路东口被人们称为八门儿 。

成府路，以海淀区中部的成府而得名；成府，东起清华南路，西至北京大学东墙，北临清华西路，南至成府路。旧有乾隆十一子成亲王爱新觉罗·永瑆民国时期的成府地名邮戳园邸，故称。

成府之北、清华西路北是圆明园，是清王室的夏宫。故此处亦多达官贵人的园林，作为随扈皇上的休憩之所。二十世纪八十年代之前此处多旧宅园，多老旧平房，间有百年以上的国槐与红柏。

原成府的胡同小巷颇多，主要有：书铺胡同，赵家胡同，蒋家胡同，刘家胡同，新胡同，薛家胡同，闻家胡同，牛子胡同，喜洋胡同，杨树胡同，以及北河沿，侍卫营，成府街，大成坊，沙土窝，前吉祥，后吉祥，红葫芦，太平庵，沟沿，槐树街，枣树院，吉家庄，桑树园，前罗锅，后罗锅，柳树井。庙亦不少，有关帝庙，佑慈宫，太平庵，兴隆寺，已觉寺，广惠宫。广惠宫俗称刚秉，八十年代后随着中关村的改建，成府以及周边地区已发生巨大改变。
