Situated in the eastern Shandong province of China, Weihai is a major seaport and attraction to tourists from all over the world. Bordering the Yellow Sea to the East, this stunning city is surrounded by water on three sides and protected by Liugong Island, a visitor-friendly island that used to be the navy base during the Qing dynasty.
In 1895, the Japanese captured Weihaiwei port, known as the Battle of Weihaiwei and the last major battle of the First Sino-Japanese War. The Japanese evacuated in 1898 and the British came into control from 1898 to 1930. In 1949, Weihaiwei City was renamed Weihai City after the Communist Revolution.
Today, Weihai is a lively city filled with a wonderfully rich culture and history. From islands and parks to war memorial museums and more, Weihai is becoming a must-visit city in China for all.

The entrance fee is approx. 49 RMB (in Meitun App) , for students-5 RMB.

Всем привет меня зовут Артем и я уже 9 лет живу и работаю в Китае. Одно из преимуществ моей работы это возможность путешествовать,особенно когда за перелеты платишь не ты)))
Имея большой опыт (был почти во всех городах Китая) я могу рассказать и подсказать где можно отдохнуть не дорого или же дешевле - но речь пойдет именно про Китай. В этой провинции Шаньдун например есть несколько городов - но речь пойдет именно о городе Вэйхай ( Weihai). Сам я бывал во многих курортных городах но этот меня очень приятно удивил а именно чем узнаете в видео! Живя в Шанхае такой город просто придает тебе сил особенно после того как побывал дома и по пути заскочил в Гон-Конг но это уже немного другая история))))) Приятного просмотра !
А еще не без радости хочу сообщить что я Женился)))

Weihai , formerly called Weihaiwei (Weihai Guard) , is a city in eastern Shandong province, China. It is the easternmost prefecture-level city of the province and a major seaport. Weihai borders Yantai to the west and the Yellow Sea to the east.
Weihai's population was 2,804,800 at the 2010 census. Amongst them, 591,982 live in the built up area (Huancui district). Rongcheng, a county-level city within Weihai, has a built up area with 1,006,795 inhabitants.
Between 1898 and 1930, the city was part of the British leased territory of Weihaiwei; during this time, the city itself was known as Port Edward and served as the capital of Weihaiwei.
