My dear twin brother and fellow Wye explorer Paul has gone and I need space and healing. My frined (our friend) Madan invites me out to Mid Wales where i spend a little time with him and his family.
I awake in the morning knowing I wanted to walk a section of the Coastal Path Wales. I had grabbed my sack so was well prepared. So Join me as I walk from near New Quay through to Aberystwyth on a 1 night Wild camp 2 day hike along this amazing stretch of Coast.

Swansea is a coastal city and county, officially known as the City and County of Swansea in Wales. The county area includes Swansea Bay (Welsh: Bae Abertawe) and the Gower Peninsula. Swansea is the second largest city in Wales and the twenty-fifth largest city in the United Kingdom. According to its local council, the City and County of Swansea had a population of 241,300 in 2014, the second most populous local authority area in Wales after Cardiff. Together with Neath and Port Talbot, Swansea formed a wider Urban Area of 300,352 in 2011.

Wales Coast Path (Gowerton to Penclawdd) with Swansea Ramblers
Peter led a walk along the Wales Coast Path. Part of this section goes inland but then up onto the hills for stunning views over the Loughor Estuary. 58 people came out to enjoy the walk.
Swansea Ramblers enjoy short and long walks every week to explore the countryside while socialising and making new friends.
We have social events such as meals in local restaurants and weekends away, such as to the Cotswolds and Chester.

Not a pretty walk today , walking along the estuary with views across the river Severn. The clouds were dramatic , the last bit of the section was mostly walking on pavements , finishing at Cardiff Bay
Briton Ferry to Swansea - Wales Coast Path
This was taken on a stretch of the Coast Path between Briton Ferry and Swansea, alongside the A483 - the main road into Swansea from the M4 and all points east.
this secluded little bit of green was a revelation to me. I had no idea it was there - a green corridor alongside the Tennant Canal. There was plenty of traffic noise, but just getting away from the fumes and seeing green all around was very soothing, as the route into Swansea is very industrial and not very uplifting. This though was great!
A tough day on my feet though - lots of walking on tarmac or concrete.
For some reason when I was making this I decided to turn the camera on it's side when showing you the view... ???!
A Wednesday Visit To Rhossili, Gower Peninsula, Swansea, South Wales
In this video I pop down to Rhossili this past Wednesday to have a stroll down to the worms head. I had planned to goto the Mumbles but other things got in the way so I came here instead.
But enjoying the lovely views across Rhossili Bay, it's truly a special place. And then went to have a scoff! :-)

In this video I enjoy a Monday walk from Mewslade and Back to Rhossili on the Gower Peninsula in Swansea, in the October Sunshine.
I've not been to Mewslade for a few years now and have not walked the coast path from that side since that time. But it was worth it in this Stunning location.
I called in to have a look around Mewslade Beach and Likewise Fall Bay Beach and made my way back to Rhossili, after 5 and and half hours in making this video!
All was rewarded with a visit to the Roma Fish Bar in Penclawdd! :-)

Port Eynon Rhossili Bay Walk, Gower Peninsula Walks In Swansea, Wales, UK
Port Eynon Rhossili Bay Walk was about 7 miles in distance. The terrain of the route was a mostly grassy coast paths and cliff edge paths; plus a track, a short sandy beach section and a short road section. The walking was mostly easy on level or gently undulating ground with a few gentle slopes and a few short steep gully ascents and descents. Route finding was very easy with obvious paths, good waymarking and obvious landmarks. There were no stiles to negotiate.

A guerrilla style travel show in time to celebrate the first anniversary of the Wales Coast Path. I'm releasing Part 1 from the historic town of Chepstow, in Monmouthshire, to the coastal town of Llantwit Major in the Vale of Glamorgan, with a unique rating for each section to share the level of difficulty of each. An afternoon walk along Penarth Pier, for example, is rated as a small portion of chips, while the more strenuous walk on the cliff path near Llantwit Major is described as worthy of pub lunches all round.

Mumbles & Oystermouth Castle - A Quick Tour Of Swansea Bay, Wales
A quick look at Mumbles and Oystermouth Castle on Swansea Bay in South Wales.
Mumbles is the headland at the end of Swansea Bay and is the start of the beautiful coastline of the Gower Peninsula.
The Victorian pier is being renovated and at it’s end is the new RNLI lifeboat station. The old lifeboat station with the red roof still exists along side the pier.
A short walk along Swansea Bay is Oystermouth Castle. The Norman Castle was built in 1106 and used to about 1650.
From the ruins there is great view of Mumbles and Swansea Bay.
