Wesley Church Prayer for 21 Coptic Martyrs
On February 15th, the world learnt of the barbaric executions of 21 Coptic Christians in Libya at the hands of an IS affiliate group operating in that region. Many around the world stood together in solidarity and unison to honour and pray for our martyrs and their families.
Here in Perth, the Coptic community, together with the wider orthodox and non-denominational churches as well as the wider community held a number of memorial sevices in their honour. The second was hosted by
The Wesley Uniting Church in Perth.
At the beginning of the evening, 21 youths of our church engaged in a procession which involved lighting a candle and remembering each of our 21 martyrs.
We thank the Perth Uniting Church for their prayers and great love.
