IS THIS THE UK'S BEST MOUNTAINEERING DAY? | March 2018
After falling in love with the Scottish winter, I took a trip on the Caledonian Sleeper with some friends up to Fort William to climb Ben Nevis by the CMD Arete. Blessed with the most incredible weather, we had one of the best days any of us have had in the mountains.

Ice Climbing and Winter Mountaineering Scotland
Learn how to ice climb on Ben Nevis or mixed climb in Glencoe with Synergy Guides mountaineering instructors based on the West coast of Scotland.
Synergy Guides pride ourselves on our enthusiasm for Scottish winter climbing. This is our bread and butter, a huge part of why we work in the mountains and the reason we count down the days to the first ice climb of each season.
It isn't just about teaching climbing, learning how to build winter belays or avalanche avoidance. It's about surviving the elements, embracing the battle to remain warm and gaining confidence to dream big in adverse conditions. If our tagline was ever introduced for one climbing discipline, then Scottish Winter Climbing would be it.

Stob Ban during winter in the Scottish Highlands
Wee day out on Stob Ban on the Mamores in the Scottish Highlands. Lovely down in the glen with a lot of wind-driven snow high up on the ridge. The deep snow made hard going at times and created a 'Considerable' avalanche risk on some parts of the mountain that needed some careful decision making, but it was a beautiful day and well worth the effort. Especially as I got to eat a HUGE pork pie halfway through the day!

???????? ???????? The Awesome CAD WEST Low Flying Jet Site In Wales Mach Loop.
This was my first visit to the Mach Loop Whilst on holiday in north Wales in 2009. It was awesome, I was very lucky, on my first day there were over 30 passes, and on my second day loads of Typhoons and a F-15. The photographers up there were a very friendly people, and I would like to thank all of them, for the tips and advice they gave me about the Mach Loop. Cad West was definitely my favorite site on the loop.

We will acknowledge, there is much more to William than just Nevis buses in the UK - though the UK is the oldest mountain climbing, of course, a particular one. Think of the pope that the best Scotch vascic stock, which focuses on smooth mountain bike every year, is the World Cup aficionados, every year in the loch-side vendors and steam train that took Harrys to Hurvors. It's really a city.
ben nevis,
Kinker Mountain
Whenever you go to Fort 'Bill', you will live in the shadow of Big Benis, which measures a lot of 1,345 meters. The hill track is easily accessed from the visitor center in nearby streets Neighbor, with an average of 8 hours on event event. From the top, you will be rewarded with the surrounding mountains and the Panoramic Westas of Lochaber. But remember, when it comes to climbing Scotland's monsters, comes first, helpful advice and you have to go before testing the predictions!
And start explanation
You may not be surprised that Fort William is the UK's external capital. Do you like a beautiful fishing and a quiet country, or like skiing and white water ripples like brilliant shields? Anything possible, just remember the progress and prepare for every kind of season.
Away town
After a day's escape, you can stir your feet in a comfortable pub and enjoy a special taste, or are you directly from the traditional stimulus of the localized Eli? You can also find local disadvantages in shops, cafés and restaurants with high-street.

Time Lapse - When Autumn meets Winter in the Highlands of Scotland
Time lapses taken during a beautiful week spent staying in Dairy Cottage, Torlundy, Scottish Highlands, at the end of October in to early November with my brother Neil Kristiansen.
The autumn colours were still vibrant and the snow arrived the day before we did. We were treated to cold, clear skies for most of the time and with numerous trips out to the following areas, we were treated to some stunning scenery!

Ben Nevis tourist free summit & shelter Britain's highest mountain
My pre summer solstice trip to Scotland June 2019.
Summer solstice countdown 17/06/2019
Last night i wild camped half way up Ben nevis at the loch. I wanted to get a early start to avoid all the tourists nothing wrong with tourism i promote it but i wanted to show you its possible to a have a relaxed walk even at the most popular mountain in Scotland if your willing to wake early and i am a tourist my self. It was raining early morning i got away around 5ish i wanted set of about 3am i think but no way was going out in the rain is was below zero up there i think and i only had summer hiking clothes. Still i managed to get to the top before any one else. It was a different matter on the way down. I really wanted sleep up in the shelter but with the gear i had it would been very cold and even at night time there was still fair amount people still coming down the mountain. I think i may come back one day out season with winter gear and stop night in there. There was no views at the top this time so i have included photos from 2012 when i did the cape wrath trail i went up ben nevis in perfect weather blue clear sky and snow.
I made a massive mistake on the way back today i needed make it to Fort William bus station to catch the citylink bus to Glasgow or so i thought it turned out i got on the prebooked citylink bus a day early and they did not notice and i did not realise until i was sat in Glasgow bus station waiting for the national express bus to Birmingham when i looked at the ticket i realised i made a massive mistake and now i was in Glasgow a day early with no where to stay. What i could done is get the train to Loch lomond and wild camped there would saved alot money. But i was tired i looked at hotel prices i manged to get a travelodge for £39 which is a very good price as was in city centre but still hell lot money for me but hey it was a great treat.

Fort William is a city in the Scottish Gaelic Holland, on the coast of Loch Lanei. It is known as the gate of Beninus, Stock Falls's home, the highest peak of the UK, and the Glen Navy valley. Nearby Navy Range is a ski ski and jungle trail in the Mountain Resort. In the city center, the Western Holland Museum focuses on regional life and history. In the Northeast area, Ben Nevis Delilier investigated vaccine production.

With a seriously large amount of travel coming up to some dense urban metropolises such as LA, New York, Toronto and Tokyo; we realised our window of opportunity to visit Scotland was very slim before the days get colder and darker.
Embarrassingly, neither Elly or I had ever been to Scotland. Yet we've been all the way around the other side of the world to the far reaches of New Zealand... We wanted to change that and make the quick hop up from London to experience some of the best nature the UK has to offer.
Our 2-day road trip consisted of a loop from Edinburgh into the Highlands via Loch Lomond, to Loch Ness, Glenfinnan and the Isle of Skye, before journeying back towards Edinburgh. I wanted to make a travel vlog similar to how this channel used to look a couple of years ago, featuring more about the journey and our overall experience rather than a segment of a particular photography day. I really enjoyed making it and look forward to part 2 coming in the next few days!
P.S. A note on the drone footage quality: After reviewing the footage from this trip, I noticed a lot of the watercolour effect happening. I've since adjusted from -1 sharpening to +1 sharpening on my Mavic Pro in an attempt to disable to noise reduction algorithm causing the bad quality picture. Hopefully it's all good for the next time I use my drone!

Downhill Racer Race Guide Trailer
A full season of Downhill Racing covering the most exciting events in Scotland from the World Cup at Fort William and the Scottish Series. We've also covered National rounds held at Innerleithen and Fort William as well as the first Dragon DH rounds from Rheola (Wales) and Hamsterley (Co Durham) which hosted it's first ever NPS 4X event on probably the UK's longest and fastest 4X track.
This film uncovers the racing scene with interviews from all riders, the fastest on the hill, the up and coming young riders and the on every Sunday rider. It's a documentary about racing and everyone involved. You might then think that this is a DVD for hardcore race heads which it is, but it's also a film about riders which is all of us.
