Explore Tasmania Episode 5 - Heading Off To The Gordon River via Old Kempton and NANT Distillery
Thanks to our friends at Gordon River Cruises we’ll be heading up to the West Coast of Tasmania to check out their newly launched Spirit Of The Wild.
Drone footage of the cruise was supplied by Gordon River Cruise as using a drone in a national park or world heritage area in Tasmania is strictly not allowed.
A lot of thought has gone into the design of the boat as well as the sound which is what makes it so unique. As you head down the Gordon River it changes over to electric motors so not only will you enjoy uninterrupted views of the Gordon River but also be able to hear the natural sounds of this World Heritage area.

During the darkness of the night, persons can be seen breaching the peace, trespassing on private property and engaging in wrongdoing.
Waratah Wynyard Council promised to install “Day Use Area Only” signage on the Council reserve across the small road from this property on 16/11/12 due to its close proximity to resident dwellings. The Council has failed to deliver even though their own Customer Service Charter clearly states that Council will “Act on any commitments given as quickly as reasonably possible.”

Tasmania
Tasmania (abbreviated as Tas and known colloquially as Tassie; /tæzˈmeɪniə/) is an island state, part of the Commonwealth of Australia, located 240 kilometres (150 mi) to the south of the Australian continent, separated by Bass Strait. The state includes the island of Tasmania, the 26th largest island in the world, and the surrounding 334 islands. The state has a population of 507,626 (as of June 2010), of whom almost half reside in the greater Hobart precinct. Tasmania's area is 68,401 square kilometres (26,410 sq mi), of which the main island covers 64,519 square kilometres (24,911 sq mi).
Tasmania is promoted as the natural state, and A World Apart, Not A World Away owing to its large and relatively unspoiled natural environment. Almost 45% of Tasmania lies in reserves, national parks and World Heritage Sites. The island is 364 kilometres (226 mi) long from its northernmost to its southernmost points, and 306 kilometres (190 mi) from east to west.
