BOSTON LINCS 1982 Part 4
A taste of Boston almost 30 years ago, Possibly the first video of the town, I hope you like it.
Very Old 8 mm films Volume 2 of 2.. Subject: Boston & Maine West End
In the early 1970's I experimented with 8mm movie film and then dubbing authentic sound.. The experiment was deemed unsuccessful and the resulting films virtually worthless. I recently stumbled over two of these old films and realized that the passage of time time had given them some current value due to rare subject matter. Although very poor quality I thought the subject would still be of some interest. I make no apologies for the awful quality they are what they are.. This is volume 2 of 2. Subject Boston & Maine West End
London Drive 4K - Christmas Lights - UK
Thursday night Drive in London's West End, the main commercial and entertainment center of the city. Highlights include Europe's busiest shopping street Oxford Street, luxury shops along Bond Street, Regent Street, London's Times Square Piccadilly Circus, ending at Buckingham Palace.
The West End of London (commonly referred to as the West End), refers to both a distinct and the wider region of Central London, west of the City of London and north of the River Thames, in which many of the city's major tourist attractions, shops, businesses, government buildings and entertainment venues, including West End theatres, are concentrated.
While the City of London, or the Square Mile, is the main business and financial district in London, the West End is the main commercial and entertainment centre of the city. It is the largest central business district in the United Kingdom, comparable to Midtown Manhattan in New York City, Causeway Bay in Hong Kong, Shibuya in Tokyo, or the 8th arrondissement in Paris. It is one of the most expensive locations in the world in which to rent office space.

London 4K - Night Drive - UK
Tuesday night drive around downtown London. Video starts in Canary Wharf, continues along the River Thames, passes the city of London, goes through Trafalgar Square, passes Buckingham Palace, and continues in and around the popular tourist West End of London along Regent Street and Piccadilly Square.
London is the capital and largest city of both the United Kingdom and England. Standing on the River Thames in southeastern England, 50 miles (80 km) upstream from its estuary with the North Sea, London has been a major settlement for two millennia. Londinium was founded by the Romans. The City of London, London's ancient core − an area of just 1.12 square miles (2.9 km2) and colloquially known as the Square Mile − retains its medieval boundaries. The City of Westminster is also an Inner London borough holding city status. Greater London is governed by the Mayor of London and the London Assembly. London is often considered the leading global city exerting a considerable impact upon the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, healthcare, media, professional services, research and development, tourism and transportation. London, the fourth fastest-growing city, is 26 out of 300 major cities for economic performance. It is one of the largest financial centres and has either the fifth or sixth largest metropolitan area GDP. It is the most-visited city as measured by international arrivals and has the busiest city airport system as measured by passenger traffic. It is the leading investment destination, hosting more international retailers and ultra high-net-worth individuals than any other city. London's universities form the largest concentration of higher education institutes in Europe. In 2012, London became the first city to have hosted three modern Summer Olympic Games.
London has a diverse range of people and cultures, and more than 300 languages are spoken in the region. Its estimated mid-2016 municipal population (corresponding to Greater London) was 8,787,892, the most populous of any city in the European Union and accounting for 13.4% of the UK population. London's urban area is the second most populous in the EU, after Paris, with 9,787,426 inhabitants at the 2011 census. The population within the London commuter belt is the most populous in the EU with 14,040,163 inhabitants in 2016. London was the world’s most populous city from c. 1831 to 1925.
London contains four World Heritage Sites: the Tower of London; Kew Gardens; the site comprising the Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey, and St Margaret's Church; and the historic settlement in Greenwich where the Royal Observatory, Greenwich defines the Prime Meridian, 0° longitude, and Greenwich Mean Time. Other landmarks include Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, St Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square and The Shard. London has numerous museums, galleries, libraries and sporting events. These include the British Museum, National Gallery, Natural History Museum, Tate Modern, British Library and West End theatres. The London Underground is the oldest underground railway network in the world.
