It's that time of year again, veraison (onset of ripening) is well under way, with the colour now coming into the berries the birds very quickly find them, so we need the netting on the vines. We use mainly side row netting and a little bit of over row netting.

At West Brook once we have extracted the juice from the grapes we use the grape stalks and skins to feed cattle that way nothing is wasted. It s timely as the harvest season coincides with the dry months when the pasture for stock to feed is getting scarce as the stalks and skins are perfect to ensure the animal stay healthy and keep good condition.
