Andy's National Trust Travel Blogs: Westbury Court Gardens
There are 500+ places of interest in the UK under the National Trust banner and I will be attempting to visit as many as I can, reporting as I do all the important stuff relative to accessibility.
In this episode, I go to a Dutch Garden, where the house has long gone. It is located in a small village near to Gloucester. The garden is very accessible and the last remaining of its kind.

A visit to Abbeywood Gardens - Nick's Allotment Diary #38
For my birthday from last week we visited Abbeywood Gardens in Cheshire. After a lovely lunch, we took the opportunity to look around the spectacular gardens. In addition to lots of perennial flowers, the gardens grow their own fruit and vegetables, which they use in their restaurant.

The Red Lodge, Bristol's Hidden Gem, Presented by Theresa Roche
A history documentary shot inside one of the last remaining Elizabethan luxury domestic interiors in South West England. This film traces the story of the intriguing men & women who lived in this magnificent oak panelled building, covering a time span from 1580 to the 1920s. The story conjures up some friendly ghosts of these men and women, many of whom were directly employed by the English government of their time and some of whom made significant contributions to science and social reform. The film features a stunning array of sumptuous costumes and is set against the opulent furnishings of this building that is often called Bristol's Hidden Gem. Narrated and presented by Theresa Roche and made with the kind permission of Bristol City Museum & Art Gallery.
Galliard Films apologises for the sound quality at certain points in this documentary - maybe the real ghosts of the lodge did some extra creaking of floorboards during the film shoot!

Driving from Cylburn Mansion, Baltimore City
Cylburn Arboretum (207 acres) is a city park with arboretum and gardens, located at 4915 Greenspring Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland. It is open daily without charge.
The arboretum began as the private estate of businessman Jesse Tyson, who started construction of Cylburn Mansion in 1863. The house, designed by Baltimore City Hall architect George Aloysius Frederick, was eventually completed in 1888 and remains intact, a stone structure built of gneiss from Tyson's quarries at Bare Hills, Maryland, with mansard roof, tower, and an Italianate cupola. It became the Cylburn Wildflower Preserve and Garden Center in 1954, and in 1982 was renamed the Cylburn Arboretum Association.
The Cylburn Mansion houses a display of watercolor paintings of Maryland wildflowers that is open to the public.
Today the arboretum contains an extensive collection of trees and woody shrubs based loosely on the Tyson's original plantings. Collections include azaleas, bamboo, beeches, boxwoods, chestnuts, conifers, hollies, Japanese maples, magnolias, maples, Maryland oaks, and viburnum.
The arboretum also includes a number of flower and vegetable gardens, as well as greenhouses designed and built in the 1960s by Lord & Burnham. The greenhouses grow plants for the city's parks, and are not open to the general public.
The Cylburn Nature Museum, located in the garage of the Carriage House, displays natural history exhibits of Maryland birds, bird eggs from the late 19th century, butterflies and moths, rocks and minerals, fossils and seashells, games, and habitat dioramas. Many items are available to touch. The Cylburn Nature Museum is open on Saturdays from 12pm -- 3pm and on Sundays from 1pm -- 4pm. - Wiki
