Destiny Of Love ~ Westerfold Park Templestowe Scenery
Westerfolds Park is a large (130 hectares) metropolitan park situated in Templestowe, an eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. This is where I go to jog and appreciate the natural beauty of this part of the world . The park nestles into a hilly bend in the Yarra River and has a network of bitumen and gravel paths, shelters, playgrounds, picnic tables and electric barbecues. It is a popular spot for picnics, and family gatherings on the weekend and public holidays. Other recreational pursuits include walking, cycling, rollerblading, walking the family dog, canoeing, horse riding and bird watching. The park has become a haven for wildlife. Parrots, cockatoos, kookaburras, water birds and small bush birds can be seen, along with bats, platypus, wombats, koalas, possums, and even Eastern Grey Kangaroos. The video only covers some parts of the park as it is huge. Some people do get lost ..during the filming 2 young ladies did ask me for directions as they didn't know where they where..I pointed them to where the map was.. maybe i should have stopped filming and help them find their way.. lol
Kangaroos, Moite

Any conversation about the best Melbourne walks – not to mention the best cycling paths and jogging routes – includes the Main Yarra Trail. One of its popular sections is the six-kilometre stretch that runs through Westerfolds Park [Fitzsimons Lane, Templestowe]. With more than 120 hectares of parkland perfect for picnicking, cycling, walking and canoeing, it’s also a haven for children, with the Westerfolds Park adventure playground the perfect place for the little ones to blow off some steam. For something a little bit more adventurous, strap up the roller blades or launch a canoe and look at the Yarra River from a different perspective.
Best walk: Westerfolds Loop Track – 4.8 kilometres, 90 minutes (but with a picnic basket, some delicious food and maybe a bottle of something special, it should take a whole afternoon)
This peaceful walk passes The Manor, a building built in 1936 that overlooks the gorgeous parkland around you. Woodlands and shrubbery line the Yarra River as you stroll, and as you continue, you’ll walk past the main picnic areas that have toilets, drinking taps and picnic tables. Westerfolds Ridge Picnic Area is where you’ll find the playground for the littlies. Look out for ancient Red Gums, as well as kangaroos and wombats that often graze in the open areas during the day.

Melbourne Bulleen Close Pass
This blue 3 series QMA 929 came flying past me on the way home. Totally inconsiderate driver and passenger. They had the window open and I think shouted something as they passed. When I stopped at the lights they were both laughing as though they did it on purpose. Total disrespect for other human beings.
