Sneak Peak Inside the New Sydney Zoo Australia - Bungarribee Blacktown
We attended the soft opening of the new Sydney Zoo. We were able to see the animals and zoo before it opened to the public. A few animals were still coming but we enjoyed seeing the animals that were there.
Watch the video to see what animal's we got to see and our thoughts on the new zoo. We will be back again once the rest of the animals arrive.

University for Blacktown
We are seeking to attract a university to Blacktown’s city centre. The university campus is one of the many transformational projects taking place in Blacktown.
We envisage 5000 students in the first iteration of the university, with a view to expand based on demand. A number of sites available in the area make it viable to expand the university to 30,000 students. However, the initial goal is a “pop-up” university of 1000 students by 2020, and a full university with two faculties and 5000 students from 2023.

Bungarribee Park Bungarribee
Bungarribee Park was only completed March 2017, evident of new plants and tree growth and lack of tree shade. All play and sheltered areas now provide most of the shade. At Bungarribee there are toilets in the park, many barbeques and plenty of large shelters that can accomodate many families. The massive climbing tower with its bright orange colour has 2 tall tube slides and 2 shorter ones for the smaller kids. Beleive me you can pick up quite a bit of speed whilst going down. It is fun to explore and a challenge to get up to the top. The top offers fantastic views of the park. The playground is fun, with water pumps in the massive sand pit, it has a long 8 seat swing set and 2 flying foxes. Plenty of parking and great bike / walking path.

Lizard Log -Abbotsbury
Lizard Log has a 1.6km cycleway and walking path set in natural bush land with plenty of wildlife to see. You can hardly notice the kids playground as it is set around a nature theme, which I'm sure your kids will find challenging. Plenty of open and shaded areas to picnic and barbeque, with lake and bush views. Toilets are available, and bubblers are along the walking path. There are plenty of parking, but the park can be busy over the weekend so try to get there a bit earlier if you can. There are no shops in the park so bring your own food, an ice cream van also comes around from time to time. The park is open 8am -6pm (non Daylight Savings) and 8am-8pm (Daylight Savings) time so don't get your car locked inside. Do give this park a try, I'm sure you'll like it.
