Vegkop Grasren / Rally 2019 Bikes & Quads
Vegkop Boerevereniging is 'n organisasie wat bestaan uit boere van die omgewing rondom die geskiedkundige Vegkop, in die Heilbron distrik van die Vrystaat. Gemengde boerdery word hier beoefen, met veral klem op bees- en wildboerdery. Saaiery speel ook in dele van die gebied 'n belangrike rol.
Grasren
Die jaarlikse Grasren is die bekendste en grootste openbare aksie van die Boerevereniging en lok talle besoekers wat met baie groot lof van hierdie dag praat. Stedelinge is uiters verbaas dat daar nie meer prominensie verleen word aan hierdie dag nie, en hulle kan nie uitgepraat raak oor die wonderlike geleentheid om in die natuur te ontspan met talle vermaak deurlopend beskikbaar gedurende die dag nie. Die Vegkop Boerevereniging is egter primêr 'n boere organisasie wat via Vrystaat Landbou deel is van georganiseerde landbou, en hom beywer vir die welvaart van die landbou as geheel.
Farmers Association
Vegkop Boerevereniging (Farmers Association) is an organisation comprising of farmers from the area around the historic Vegkop, in the Heilbron district of the Orange Free State. Diverse farming is conducted here, with an emphasis on cattle- and game farming. Cultivation also plays an important role in certain areas.
Vegkop Rally
The annual rally is one of the most well known public projects of the farmer's associations of the Free State. Drawing large number of visitors, the rally is ideal for city folk with a sense of adventure. From 4 x 4's to quadbikes and quartermile challenges - Who else would know how better to challenge a vehicle than your local farmers?
The Vegkop Boerevereniging is primarily a farmers organisation that is part of the organised argricultural sector via Free State Agriculture. The association therefore strives for the advancement of the agricultural sector in totality.
