Portland harbour is one of the largest manmade harbours in the world and until 1996 home to the Royal Nay. It is now a commercial port, a popular place to sail, and the site of the sailing events at the London 2012 Olympics.

MONSTER JURASSIC COAST FOSSIL AT DORSET COUNTY MUSEUM
The giant jaws of a huge marine reptile is on permanent display at the Dorset County Museum from 8 July -- unveiled by Sir David Attenborough.
Dating back around 155 million years, the pliosaur skull was discovered on the nearby Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, and is one of the largest and best preserved fossils of its kind ever found.
Belonging to a creature up to 18m in length, the skull is a staggering 2.4 m long and is believed to have possessed the biggest bite of all time -powerful enough to break a small car in half.

After two rounds of 18-hole miniature golf at the Adventure Golf course at Lodmoor Country Park in Weymouth, Dorset both players had tied for the lead on 87 shots, five clear of third placed John Moore.
Richard was the reigning and defending champion and had carded a new course record round of 41, while Kevin was keen to pick up another BMGA Tour victory following his win in the Midland Invitational Tournament earlier in the season.
