Whale swimming trip Tongatapu video September 16, 2013
This was an amazing experience to swim with Humpback whales in Tongatapu, Tonga. Jeff took this video by normal underwater camera without using zooming. It shows the real experience you can have in Tongatapu. Calf was so calm to float top to breath and dive down to mum. It was just so beautiful and peaceful to watch it again and again.

Diving for a Cause: Tonga 2016
When you bring four Aussie spearos, one Kiwi, and a group from the states, to a remote spot in Tonga with Diving For A Cause, you can be assured it will be a blast!
Our kind host Rob Torelli of SpearfishingTonga.com, along with his excellent experienced guides on the boat, led the 11 man DFAC team to exceptional but challenging diving. Dogtooth tunas, wahoo, snappers, pargos were all seen, speared and sometimes saved to donate, others eaten by the sharks. Swimming with the humpback whales was a highlight, as well as seeing a wall of hammerhead sharks swim by in the distance. The last day, a fun swim with a big whale shark was just icing on the cake!
The group brought not only their spearfishing expertise but their rugby skills as well. The group brought and donated rugby balls to the local children, then engaged in a fantastic match of rugby that left smiles on the young faces that lasted all evening!
The gift giving didn’t stop there. The DFAC team donated 50 backpacks to the local children at Sunday school. Backpacks filled with a variety of pens, pencils, markers, crayons, rulers, sharpeners, notebooks and DFAC coloring books. The new DFAC coloring books were a total success and the DFAC participants enjoyed sitting at the table with all 50 children coloring and sharing stories of underwater experiences.
Every evening the Aussies kept the laughter going with tales of WA travels and diving that had all of us in stitches laughing non stop!
Our DFAC Tonga experience is one we will all remember fondly and smile!
Special thank you to the DFAC team, Terry Maas, Colleen Gallagher, Ashley Cox, Christian Baker, Boyko Antonov, Dustin Anglen, Mike Riddock, Dallas Dunlop. Andrew Buzzacott, Julian Boland, Adam Haling. Thank you to Jessie Cripps and Michael Takach for beautiful video footage.

A diver has captured a selfie with a giant whale while swimming in the ocean.
Adam Stern, 28, filmed the moment on August 4 while just off the coast of Nuku'alofa, Tonga.
The professional diver jumped into the water from the boat to cool off before he spotted the huge female whale.
Adam, from Copacabana, New South Wales, said: We could hear singing in the water and then all of a sudden this big female whale just appeared!
