Our visit Wrocław travel guide documentary covers some of the top attractions including a food guide, top sightseeing tourist attractions and the city by day including visiting castles, churches and museums. We also cover off-the-beaten-path outdoor activities you won't find in a typical Wrocław tourism brochure, Wroclaw itinerary or Wrocław, Poland city tour.
10 Things to do in Wrocław, Poland Travel Guide
In today’s video we’re taking you around Wroclaw. This was the second stop of our month-long trip through Poland, and we liked it right from Day 1. Our visit to the city was spent wandering through the University Quarter, cruising down the Oder River, stumbling into a secret courtyard, and enjoying a tasty meal or two along the way. The following is our travel guide to some of the best things to do in Wroclaw, Poland:
The University Quarter is located in the north end of the Old Town and it’s worth visiting even if your days as a student are over. Here you’ll find the University of Wroclaw, which is one of the oldest academic institutions in Central Europe. The architecture is also stunning! I mean, could you imagine being a student here?
Since we couldn’t visit the interior of the university, we stopped by the university church, also known as the Parish of the Most Holy Name of Jesus. Admission is free of charge, though donations are welcome, and once you’re in, don’t forget to look up!
Continuing our random wanderings through Wroclaw, we reached the Ossolineum, which quickly piqued our curiosity. Once a hospital and convent, and later a college, today it houses one of the largest scientific libraries in Poland as well as the national archive. We visited the courtyard surrounded by mirrored windows and hydrangeas, and if felt like a secret garden.
Cathedral island is the oldest part of Wroclaw. It was formerly an island that sat between two branches of the Oder River, and while that’s no longer the case, it still has a cathedral.
With much better weather, we then followed the previous day’s path back to Cathedral Island. Along the way, we visited the Silver Arch, which is a pretty cool sculpture on one of the smaller islands, and then it was time for a river cruise.
Our next stop was Hala Targowa, or Market Hall. It’s a nice spot to hit up to get your daily supply of fresh fruits, deli meats, cheese and pastries, for a delicious yet affordable do-it-yourself meal.
And that’s a wrap for our visit to Wroclaw! As always, if you have any places to add to this list or any tips for fellow travellers share those below. Until next time and happy travels!
This is part of our Travel in Poland video series showcasing Polish food, Polish culture and Polish cuisine.

I have always been the type to overthink and overanalyze. I do it a lot with this channel actually. I want to share even more of my experience abroad and produce more content. I always make a plan and then pick it apart. Which means the only thing missing from my plan is the action, but now it's time to stop overthinking & DO IT! WE SPENT 24HRS IN WROCŁAW || Poland
In this video we wanted to show you one of the most beautiful and perhaps one of the most underrated cities in Poland - Wrocław.
We never expected the city to be this big, in fact, it's the largest city in Western Poland. We only spent here 24hrs but we would have easily spent here at least a few days! We had so much fun trying to find as many dwarves as possible, walking around the Medieval streets and eating out at our beloved Milk bars,
We highly recommend visiting Wrocław, there is so much to see & do!
Thanks to Adam for hosting us! It's been a pleasure!
Meet & stay with locals all over the world:
Cheers!

MOST UNDERRATED Christmas Market | Wroclaw, Poland Travel Vlog (top things to do in Wroclaw)
We made our way from wonderful Prague to the smaller and incredibly unique city of Wroclaw to eat Polish food, drink Polish beer, and play in Polish Christmas Markets.
While we spent the majority of our time in Poland working very long days to catch up, we were able to get out on our last day and explore, learn some history and fun facts, eat yummy pierogis and Polish food, and explore the most underrated Christmas Market in Europe that we've ever seen. We couldn't get over it! there were rollercoasters, whole village sets for people to relax and drink some local hot wine, puppet shows, and so much more.
Unfortunately, our time in Wroclaw, Poland flew by and we were wishing we could just pause time or slow it down. Not a bad way to spend the Friday before Christmas!

Watch my social experiment (beautiful people share their deepest fears):
This trip I had to Poland and Germany had personal significance to me simply because I've read and studied not just German history but books by holocaust survivors/victims ( by Corrie Ten Boom and Anne Frank). The knowledge that I was walking on such bloody land and physically touching the walls of the ghetto made the trip meaningful and emotional. Sometimes we look at history in black and white but one must not forget that it's intricate: these were real people with real emotions just like you and I. Yet so many taken away from the world so painfully. I was completely shattered when I saw the little clothes and toys, my heart broke as why must the purest, most untainted go through life like this? How did mankind become so desensitised and hardened that we may turn on our own? It's a scary thought that so many could be like that.
I know I've gained loads of weight in Europe but working on it!!
The article i was talking about:
I want to clarify and say that I don't mean that any gender is more dangerous but rather stories like this make me want to avoid the awkward situation altogether.

Christmas Market in Wrocław, Poland
CHRISTMAS MARKET IN WROCŁAW, POLAND - The Christmas Market in Wrocław, Poland was one of my favourites! It stretched out around the town square in all directions and had the atmosphere of a charming Christmas carnival. I even met Santa at this Polish Christmas Market who led me to the big Christmas tree for the perfect photo.
There were different rides and we chose one where you could fly in one of Santa’s sleighs pulled by reindeer. It gave a great view of the surrounding market and delighted us far more than I imagined it would!
I came across something I’ve never seen at a Christmas Market before: booths of animatronic-type puppets telling famous fairytales. The puppets move around while a narrator recites the beloved stories. There was Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Hansel and Gretel. It was fun to see lots of people - not just kids - gathered around to enjoy. I found it quite charming, which complemented the whole feel of the Wrocław market.
We found a booth selling miniature-sized Polish donuts (pączki) which we wanted to try. They are deep fried with sauce and powdered sugar on top. Not the easiest thing to eat but at least the powdered sugar looked like snow!
I also learned about some Polish Christmas traditions that I absolutely love. They all revolve around Christmas dinner which, in Poland, takes places on December 24th. On Christmas Eve, they don’t start eating until the first star appears in the night sky. How beautiful is that?! Someone - usually a child - is dispatched to the window and when they spot the first star they return to let everyone know it’s time to eat. The meal consists of twelve courses of twelve different dishes. This symbolizes either the Twelve Apostles or the months of the year - nobody seems quite sure. Every household sets an extra place at the table in case someone knocks on the door or turns up at the last minute needing a place to eat. This is meant to signify welcoming and inclusivity. I think it’s a lovely idea and symbolic of what Christmas is all about.
We ended the night by riding the Polar Express train. This market was awesome and I enjoyed it so much! What did you think of it?

MY VLOGMAS 2017 SERIES
This December I’m doing Vlogmas on my channel! Vlogmas is usually where you daily vlog each day of December leading up to Christmas. I’m doing my own version where I’ll upload new videos three times per week on my regular schedule (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) and each ‘episode’ will be Christmas themed from my travels in Europe! I’ll be exploring Christmas markets - and trying all the special foods - in 6 different countries and learning about unique and sometimes crazy-sounding Christmas traditions. I absolutely love this time of year. I’m looking forward to experiencing all the different ways people celebrate and sharing it with you.
