Whiffen Spit - Sooke, British Columbia.

Taking a walk down Whiffen Spit in Sooke, British Columbia at sunset. Whiffen Spit is a natural peninsula protecting Sooke Harbour from the Pacific Ocean and the Juan de Fuca Strait. At the base of the Spit sits the world famous Sooke Harbour House.

Whiffen Spit is about 1.6km in length and at the end you'll find a small, unmanned, lighthouse.

Many people walk along the shoreline each day and is a great way to see the natural and rugged beauty along the Sooke Coastline.

Sooke Potholes - Sooke, British Columbia

Sooke Potholes Provincial Park, or the Sooke Potholes, is located on the banks of the spectacular Sooke River and features potholes unlike anything youve ever witness before.

Our potholes are rare geological formations: a series of deep, smooth rock pools in the Sooke River. Accessible from Sooke River Road, this local hotspot features some of the best freshwater swimming around and is a great mid-day picnic spot. The pools and potholes are crystal clear, and refreshingly clean.

The park is also easily accessed from the Regional Galloping Goose Trail. In fact, the last 20 kilometers of the Goose weaves through Sooke Potholes Regional Park, ending at Leechtown.

Kayaking in Sooke B.C.

Great morning kayak with Rush Adventures. We paddled out into the basin, through the Goodrich Islands where we got to see plenty of cute harbour seals chilling out on the rocks! Lots of wild life,nature and definitely worth the trip out to Sooke.
