Exploring Some Local GOLD History at Warrandyte
A little something different in this video. I take a look at and explore some local gold related historical sights and spots l at Warrandye, Victoria...which is just down the road from me. Plus a really quick dig at the end in a somewhat special creek.
Thanks for watching. And a new prospecting video shouldn't be too far off ;)

Rusty's Gold Patch in Victoria
Video from showing how to use Geological Maps to find places to prospect for gold, where not a lot of people have been before. If you do a bit of prospecting, these maps and old reports from the Mines Department are absolutely invaluable.

Searching for gold in Tarnagulla
Tarnagulla is the capital of Victoria’s “Golden Triangle” and during the cool months locals and visitors spend their days combing the bush with their hi-tech metal detectors for gold. If your lucky you might get a little nugget if not you might just turn up a dickhead
Whipstick Abseiling
Checking out my Father's Day present, a new harness, and belayed using a fantastic Black diamond bug. There are at least 3 good spots to abseil from, all with fantastic anchor points. It was a pity that I forgot to swap back the helmet :(
The video is very shaky, and I will not use the software auto correct, but instead work on improving my technique. I hope to put more videos together of exciting things to do the Warrandyte Area.

Humbug Hill Gold,Creswick,Victoria
It is said that, in the gold rush days, the hill gets its name from the miners' response to the opinion of the discoverer of Humbug that it was no good.In fact, it was a highly rich alluvial hill.In pursuing years an enormous amount of mining was done all over Humbug, the scars of which can be clearly seen today.

Part of Wedderburn goldfields in Victoria ~ Driving back to camp.
I very rarely go into town when camped out in the bush at the weekend. But on this particular Sunday I drove to Wedderburn for something at the supermarket. I don't remember now what I bought, but know that was the shop I went to.
For no particular reason I plugged the dashcam in to record the drive from just after Queen's Gully back to camp.
More gold from the Hidden diggings.
Another bit from the diggings i found that are in a fairly remote area.
