Whistler Sliding Centre - Public Bobsleigh & Skeleton
Tick bobsleigh or skeleton off your bucket list at the Whistler Sliding Centre! After a safety orientation, participants coast down the world’s fastest ice track in a 4-person bobsled, steered by a trained bobsleigh pilot, reaching speeds of up to 125+ km/hr. Solo adventurers can launch themselves down head-first on their own skeleton sled, reaching speeds up to 100 km/hr.
Whistler Sliding Centre
The Whistler Sliding Centre is home to the fastest ice track in the world. Since hosting the bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton competitions during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the Whistler Sliding Centre continues to challenge the sports’ most elite athletes with professional competitions, recruiting camps, and ongoing youth programs. Public visitors are also invited to tour the state-of-the-art facility or experience the action first-hand with passenger bobsleigh and skeleton rides down part of the 1,450 meter-long ice track.

I try the BOBSLED on the world’s fastest track!
If you've ever wanted to ride in a bobsled, try bobsledding or just be up close with a real bobsleigh, this is your chance as the Whistler Sliding Centre allows the public to ride it in the summer time. This adrenaline rush is fast, loud and rough, and I don't recommend it for everyone, but if you're up for it, then it's a must try.
The Whistler Sliding Centre is the world's fastest bobsled track, and you can visit their website for more information:
I'd like to point out that no GoPros or any other camera is permitted on the track area, so I was forced to film with my camera for the first time, and didn't do such a great job. Please don't judge my filming skills on this video.

Our Bobsled Experience in Whistler Canada in 4K
We hit 125 km/hr during our bobsled on the Whistler Olympic track. The acceleration gets up to 4G. The program does not start at the very top where the Olympic athletes train since that causes most people to blackout by the end as this is the fastest bobsled track in the world. We had a great time! If you're looking to do something other than skiing one afternoon while in Whistler, going to the Whistler Sliding Centre is a great option to consider. The proceeds go to helping Olympic athletes train.

My Whistler Bobsled run!
Got to go down the Olympic track at Whistler on a 4 person 'bobsleigh' as they call them there (I always thought it was bobsled). Incredible experience, gets faster and faster and faster... being the big guy, I was in the back of the sled with 2 much smaller young ladies between me and the professional driver.

Death of Georgian Athlete Highlights Dangers of Luge
The death of Georgian Olympic Luge slider Nodar Kumaritashvili while practicing at the Whistler Sliding Center north of Vancouver, Canada, highlights the dangers of the sport of Luge. Such deadly incidents are a rare occurrence during an Olympic games, and underscore the importance of safety for all athletes in competition. As VOA's Kane Farabaugh reports, Kumaritashvilli's death could have far reaching implications for all Olympic events that utilize an icy sliding course.
