Dartinton Hall in Devon England
April 2014. Built in the 1380s for John Holand, half-brother to Richard II, part of its function was to house the knights who formed the nobleman's military force. They lived in wings that enclosed the medieval courtyard. Which still exist today; you can sleep there, eat there (at the White Heart) and generally wander round and hang out. The structure fell into ruin but was bought and restored in the 1920s. It makes an incredible getaway for a romantic weekend but also an epic place to run a Call of Cthulhu horror scenario or even a Murder Mystery Game (such as Murder at Sharky Point, ahem). There's a large, low-ceiling and slightly musty room above the medieval hall and it makes a fantastic game room. If you speak to the Events team when you book a room to stay the night, ask them about it -- you should be able to use it so long as there isn't a wedding or conference taking place.
The place has this magical silence about it during the day. At night, the moon was shinning gibbous and bright into the empty courtyard. Very atmospheric. Very good place to spend time.
Dartington Hall is set in 1,200 acres of grounds. Most of the land is bordered by the river Dart so you can walk in blissful isolation, away from roads, away from people, lost within glades, woods and small hills. At one point a steam train came chugging past on the opposite shore.

TENTERDEN 25TH FOLK FESTIVAL
Tenterden Folk Festival takes place over four days with folk song, music, dance, crafts and traditions.
Tenterden, situated in the ancient Weald of Kent, about 12 miles west of Ashford, is an ideal setting for this friendly, family folk festival. It features one of the widest High Streets in the country lined with historic and listed buildings, numerous friendly pubs, cafes and restaurants and green verges.
Events:Events at the festival include an English Barn Dance, concerts, sing-a-rounds, music sessions, folk clubs, special shows, a craft fair and street stalls, music stalls, free music and dance stages on the Recreation Ground, Morris dancers, dance displays, procession, showcases, meet the guest spots, workshops, dancers and musicians on the Kent and East Sussex Railway, events for children and much more besides.
Venues and public houses:Festival venues include The Evans Bar and Moulton Hall upstairs in the Tenterden Club, St Mildred’s Parish Church, St Mildred’s Church Hall, The Town Hall, The Saddlery, The Recreation Ground and the High Street, There are also events in The Woolpack, The White Lion, The Vine, The William Caxton and The Indulgence Cake and Coffee House.
Welcome barn dance:The English barn dance is a regular feature of the festival and is always very popular. As well as the barn dance there is often a chance to try other forms of traditional folk dancing over the long weekend. Concerts:The main concerts on Saturday and Sunday are held in the Tenterden Club with smaller acoustic concerts, including concerts on Friday, being held in the Saddlery at The White Lion. There is a special fundraising concert on Thursday in the Town Hall. Crafts fair, music stalls, other stalls and also street stalls:The free craft fair and other stalls will be in a large marquee on The Recreation Ground, just off the High Street. The marquee will act as the venue for the popular free music and dance stages. There will also be even more street stalls in the High Street.
Sing-a-rounds and music sessions:
One of the highlights of Tenterden Folk Festival for many of the participants are the numerous friendly and informal sing-a-rounds and music sessions. With a choice of four town centre pubs there is sure to be a session that suits your taste going on in at least one of these venues.
Workshops and meet the guest sessions:
is a charity formed to preserve and advance public education and appreciation of folk music, song, dance, crafts and traditions as part of the living heritage. Therefore we offer you a chance to “Meet” some of the guests in informal sessions. We also offer workshops where you can hear about folk related topics or traditions or improve your own skills. Dance displays:Tenterden is “the Jewel of the Weald” and over the Festival weekend it has even more colour and sparkle than usual as hundreds of Morris men and women and other folk dancers take to the streets of the town centre. The majority of teams are Morris dance sides of varying styles, from the Cotswold tradition and Black-faced Border style, to clog to garland dancers. The teams you will see will be both men’s, women’s and mixed sides and come from all over England. It’s not just Morris you will see as Tenterden is regularly host to teams performing traditional dances from Scotland, Ireland, England, Slovakia and the Appalachian Mountains of North America. There is also Saturday’s popular procession along the High Street.

Berry Pomeroy Castle Ghosts-Sightings 1993.
Before I go any further this actual photo of the 2 images on the photo to this video was a real capture in 2014 by a local paranormal investigator from Torquay at the back of the castle where this is a long drop which is the great hall. Some say the white lady and the other image could be the first stage of a manifestation of the blue lady ghost Eleanor. Ghosts of Berry Pomeroy Castle 1993, Just some of the many ghosts that have haunted the castle here in England for many years. The white lady ghost is said to be Lady Margaret De Pomeroy, The Blue Lady ghost is said to be Eleanor De Pomeroy who imprisoned Margaret in St Margaret's Tower to the right of the castle, the blue lady is said to walk along the top of the main castle building and then drops to the bottom of the grass inside in the castle in the corner. she has appeared to many people and her facial features seems to change to those that have seen her and is quite a scary appearance for those that have seen her. The white lady is said to haunt St Margaret's Tower and the spiral stair case and the long gravel walk and also down in the courtyard in the main building as you walk in from the gatehouse where the archway is and around the whole area. best times to go where it is at it's strongest is between 12am and 6.00am and seems around 3am where a lot of sightings have taken place but sightings can happen at anytime, if your able to get over the wall check the great hall area at the back where there is a long drop where this photo was taken and take many photo in and around the whole area and castle as well as the lawn and . nothing is guaranteed as some ghosts don't readily appear and sometimes often heard and sensed rather than seen but if your sensitive and open you just may have an experience. the whole castle has many ghosts and even down the drive way and woods and valley down below. take a lots and lots of photos and especially around the gatehouse and doorways and windows and grounds check out this page. The fallow deer is a ruminant mammal belonging to the family Cervidae. This common species is native to western Eurasia, but has been introduced to South Africa, Fernando Pó, São Tomé, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mayotte, Réunion, Seychelles, Comoro Islands, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Cape Verde, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United States, the Falkland Islands and Peru. It often includes the rarer Persian fallow deer as a subspecies , while others treat it as an entirely different species .
The male fallow deer is known as a buck, the female is a doe, and the young a fawn. Adult bucks are 140 – long with a 85 – shoulder height, and typically 60 – in weight; does are 130 – long with a 75 – shoulder height, and 30 – in weight. The largest bucks may measure 190 cm long and weigh 150 kg. Fawns are born in spring at about 30 cm and weigh around 4.5 kg. The life span is around 12–16 years.
There is much variation in the coat colour of the species, with four main variants: common, menil, melanistic and leucistic – a genuine colour variety, not albinistic. The white is the lightest coloured, almost white; common and menil are darker, and melanistic is very dark, sometimes even black .
Most herds consist of the common coat variation, yet it is not rare to see animals of the menil coat variation. The Melanistic variation is generally rarer and white very much rarer still, although wild New Zealand herds often have a high melanistic percentage.
Only bucks have antlers, which are broad and shovel-shaped from three years. In the first two years the antler is a single spike. They are grazing animals; their preferred habitat is mixed woodland and open grassland. During the rut bucks will spread out and females move between them, at this time of year fallow deer are relatively ungrouped compared to the rest of the year when they try to stay together in groups of up to 150.

As the body explores the local environment it mediates the existence of that space. Through video reproduction the body's expression is conceptualised, the film is a new body which then mediates the recorded situation. The artist is then in a position to manipulate that mediated message. Duet presents a reiterated series of movements that explore the editing interface, the screen, in parallel to an exploration of the video image.
