Tony Grove Lake - Cache County - Utah - USA
Tony Grove Lake is a lake in Cache County, Utah. The Tony Grove Lake Campground is located on the southeast shore of the lake. The lake and campground are situated on the Logan Canyon Scenic Byway. A 5–6 mi (8.0–9.7 km) paved road climbs to a height of 8,048 feet (2,453 m) to reach Tony Grove Lake and the Mount Naomi Wilderness area. A historic marker at the lake states that Tony Grove's name derived from its popularity with wealthy residents of Logan in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Mt. Naomi Wilderness Area was designated in 1984, and covers 45,000 acres (180 km2). This region embraces some of the most rugged and spectacular country in the Bear River Range. The area around this glacial lake explodes into wildflowers in the early summer. Many trails throughout the area offer wildlife viewing. Access and parking for the White Pine Lake Trail, Coldwater Spring Trail, Naomi Peak Trail and High Creek Trail is located at the Tony Grove Lake parking lot. (Wikipedia)

Wind Cave Hiking Trail Logan Canyon Utah
Known as one of the most popular trails in Logan Canyon, the Wind Cave Hiking trail is located approximately 5.3 miles up the canyon across from the Guinavah - Malibu Campground. This family friendly hike offers beautiful views with the highlight of the trail being the natural cave.
The Wind Cave trail is considered a moderate hike, but because of the large switch backs the constant elevation gain of 1030 feet is more gradual than straight up. As you hike the trail, views of the surrounding canyon are spectacular and there are several areas to stop, rest, and take in the scenery. One view from the Wind Cave trail that will instantly stand out is the 200 foot cliffs located across the canyon known as China Wall.

PlantSnap identifies a Limber Pine (Pinus flexilis)
Pinus flexilis, the limber pine,is a species of pine tree-the family Pinaceae that occurs in the mountains of the Western United States,Mexico, and Canada. It is also called Rocky Mountain white pine.A limber pine in Eagle Cap Wilderness,Oregon has been documented as over 2000 years old,and another one was confirmed at 1140 years old.Another candidate for the oldest limber pine was identified in 2006 near the Alta Ski Area in Utah;called Twister, the tree was confirmed to be at least 1700 years old and thought to be even older. Its pliant branches gives it the common name limber and specific epithet flexilis. Its long needles are a dark, blueish green, its bark is heavily creased and dark grey. Its pale wood is lightweight and soft.P.flexilis is typically a high-elevation pine, often marking the tree line either on its own,or with whitebark pine (Pinus albicaulis),either of the bristlecone pines,or lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta). In favourable conditions,it makes a tree to 20 meters (65 ft),rarely 25 meters (80 ft) tall. However,on exposed treeline sites, mature trees are much smaller, reaching heights of only 5?10 meters (15?35 ft).In steeply-sloping,rocky,and windswept terrain in the Rocky Mountains of southern Alberta, limber pine is even more stunted, occurring in old stands where mature trees are consistently less than 3 metres (10 ft) in height. One of the world's oldest living Limber Pine trees grows on the banks of the upper North Saskatchewan River at Whirlpool Point in Alberta.Recent measurements give a maximum girth of 185.In 1986 a core sample 10cm was retrieved by two researchers who counted 400 rings.Extrapolating his data gives an age close to 3000 years.

Lyrics:
Nevada’s
16 Counties you’ll learn by name
Our Capital
Carson City has fame
We border California, Idaho
Oregon, Utah
and Arizona
Now sing along With no flaw
Churchill County
In Nevada state
Fallon is my county seat
Isn’t that great
I am Clark County
The southern tip you can see
And Las Vegas is the name
Of my county seat
Douglas County here
On Nevadas western bend
The name of my county seat given
Is Minden
Elko County
Is in the North East corner
Elko is the name of my county seat
I assure
I’m Esmeralda County
And I am in the west
Goldfield is my county seat
This I do attest
Eureka County
Is located in central Nevada
Eureka is also the name of my
County seat you just saw
Humboldt County
Is way up in the north
Winnemucca is the name of my county seat of course
Lander County
Is right where I appear
Battle Mountain’s my county seat
It is shown right here
I am Lincoln County
I am in the Southeast
Pioche is the very cool name
Of my county seat
Nevada’s
16 counties you’ll learn by name
Our Capital
Carson City has fame
We border California, Idaho
Oregon, Utah
and Arizona
Now sing along With no flaw
I’m Lyon County
I have a really odd shape
My county seat is Yerington
Right here in my landscape
Mineral County
Is in the west as well
Hawthorne’s my county seat
That’s where it fell
I’m Nye County
And the largest county you see
Tonopah is the official name
Of my county seat
I am Pershing County
I’m way up here
Lovelock is the county seat
That had just appeared
I’m Storey County
And the smallest one that is known
Virginia City is my county seat
Now you know
I am Washoe County
On the west long and lean
And Reno is the county seat
Given to me
White Pine County
Is on the east of this state
Ely is the county seat
and still is to this date
I’m Nevada
Established in 1864
Carson City is my capital
I hope you learn more
