READ THE BLOG:
Just spent the last few days exploring Wakkanai City, Hokkaido. It's the northern most city and train station in Japan and a short drive from Cape Soya, the northernmost point in all of Japan. There are direct ferries to Sakhalin Island in Russia - in Russia's Far East.
While in Wakkanai, we did an amazing Kimono Experience, went snow shoeing in the Serobetsu Wetlands, drove through a coastal National Park, took part in a tea ceremony, went to an Onsen Village and ate loots and lots of delicious food - specialities from Hokkaido!

Route 41 from Asahikawa to Wakkanai. It's not as easy of a trip as I thought ... I couldn't get onto the highway or bi pass so I had to take the local roads.

In Wakkanai, Hokkaido, there is a road called Milclaude lined with windmills and dairy products factories.
There are 84 wind turbines in the city, making it Hokkaido's largest wind power generation facility.

[JAPAN TRAVEL VLOG] DAY 5 (PART 1): (The northernmost city) Wakkanai
Day 5. I take a trip around Wakkanai on a tour bus (Soya Bus) and go to the northernmost point of Japan. After that, I head to good ol' Sapporo again and keep the promise of showing you guys the beautiful night view of Sapporo by Sapporo Ropeway.
I traveled Japan from 2017.07.04 to 2017.07.20 and I vlogged throughout the whole trip. The theme of my trip was to go from the northernmost station of Japan (Wakkanai Station) to the southernmost station of Japan except for Okinawa (Nishi-Oyama Station). It was such a fun trip and I hope you guys enjoy following me throughout the whole trip.

Winter at Cape Soya, Wakkanai City, Hokkaido ZHIYUN Weebill S / α6400 北海道 稚内 冬の宗谷岬
Soya Cape is the northernmost point of Japan and has monuments, souvenir shops and restaurants. However, it is a place where you can feel the nature of Hokkaido in winter although you don't see many tourists in the strong wind and snow during winter.
You can go to Soya Cape by bus from Wakkanai Airport, but only in summer. In winter, you have to go by rental car or taxi.

強い風が吹き荒れる中、ジンバルをもって宗谷岬を撮ってきました！
低温耐性が高いWeebill Sですが、宗谷の風には勝てず、時折ガクッとジンバルが明後日の方向に向くこともよくありました。
