Hitler and the Third Reich Munich Walking Tour
Many of Munich's buildings carry the secrets of a dark past. Just six decades ago, Munich bore the official title, Hauptstadt der Bewegung, the Capital of the Nazi Movement. This was the city that the Allied Supreme Commander General Eisenhower called 'the cradle of the Nazi beast'. Find out why on this fascinating walking tour.
Munich was the birthplace of the Nazi Party and the home of its headquarters. The vo

STORYLINE:
Europe's icy start to winter was still in full flow on Wednesday as Berlin was covered in a thick white blanket of snow.
Moderate snow falls continued in the German capital despite slightly warmer temperatures from earlier in the month.
Although no major traffic disruption was reported, the weather services did warn the drivers throughout the country to be on the lookout for ice on the roads.
Meanwhile Moscow received its first portion of winter snow overnight as Russian children took to the parks to play on Wednesday.
The air temperature was still at a not-too-uncomfortable level just below zero celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit).
We like this weather very much. Primarily because of the snow. My daughter keeps asking: Mum, when can you go out to slide? We feel great. Not when the temperature is minus twenty (Celsius) (minus 4 Fahrenheit), of course, but anything around minus ten is fine, said one resident playing with her children in a park.
The city's fleet of snow ploughs were out on the streets to remove the overnight snowfall.
Authorities say several thousand trucks have already removed more than 150-thousand cubic meters of snow, and efforts to keep Moscow city streets clear continued.
Snowfall caused some disruption in the French capital, snarling traffic and resulting in the cancellation of around 20 percent of flights at Paris' main airport.

STORYLINE
Pop singer Michael Jackson arrived in court on Tuesday as the prosecution neared the end of its case in the child molestation trial.
Throughout the trial, prosecutors have attempted to show that Jackson has a history of abuse.
They have called more than 80 witnesses, including Jackson's accuser.
On Tuesday, John Duross O'Bryan, a forensic accountant, testified that the pop star was spending 20 (m) million to 30 (m) million US dollars more every year than he earns, a deep financial problem the prosecution contends underlies conspiracy allegations in the case.
The prosecution also tried to undermine earlier testimony from one of its own witnesses - Jackson's ex-wife Deborah Rowe - by putting an investigator on the stand who said Rowe told him last year that the singer was a sociopath.
The detailed analysis of Jackson's multimillion-dollar empire was brought into the trial over vehement objections from defence attorneys.
They said it was irrelevant to the case and was based on hearsay statements contained in memos from various financial advisers.
Under questioning by Deputy District Attorney Gordon Auchincloss, O'Bryan traced Jackson's assets and liabilities from 1999 to 2004.
On cross-examination, defence attorney Thomas Mesereau Jr. suggested in several questions that the accountant underestimated the value of Jackson's stake in the Sony-ATV catalogue and had not considered lucrative offers available to Jackson as an entertainer.
The testimony was offered to show that Jackson was in deep financial trouble when the documentary was aired and brought down a storm of criticism on the star for a statement in which he said he allowed children to sleep in his bed, although he insisted it was non-sexual.
Prosecutors are trying to show that Jackson had banked on the documentary as a way to re-energise his career and that it exploded in his face.
They say he then was frantic and organised efforts at damage control, including recording videos for a programme in which his reputation could be salvaged.
They maintain he tried to do this by holding captive the family of the boy he allegedly molested and forcing them to participate in the so-called rebuttal video.
Before the financial testimony, District Attorney Tom Sneddon called Sheriff's Sergeant Steve Robel to the stand to undermine Debbie Rowe.
Jackson's ex-wife, the mother of two of his children, had unexpectedly praised Jackson as a good father and a generous and caring friend and denied prosecution contentions that her statements in another rebuttal video were scripted by the Jackson camp.
Asked what Rowe said to him in their year-ago interview, Robel said, She referred to Michael as a sociopath and his children as being possessions.
Before recessing for the day, the prosecution also called Rudy Provencio, who began describing going to work with Jackson and an associate, Marc Schaffel, in June 2001 on plans for a charity recording called What More Can I Give.
He denies all the charges against him.

EXPLORING ISLAND of NAXOS & the SPECTACULAR PLAKA BEACH (GREECE) ????️
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go visit the beautiful beach of PLAKA which can be found in the spectacular Greek island of Naxos in Greece. What used to be just a nudists' beach is now one of the most popular beaches of Naxos, retaining bits of its original character. It is still a favourite beach for nudists, who flock mostly off season but it also gathers families and couples, especially during high season, which “forces” the nudists to segregate off to the one end, towards the south of this long and splendid beach. Its main characteristic is the long and wide, white expanse of sand and the turquoise water.
The beach of Plaka extends for approximately 4 kilometres making it a very long beach. Only parts of it are organised so there are umbrellas and sun-beds along its considerable length. During high season it is quite busy but still quitter than Agios Prokopios or Saint George beach. There are so many things to do at Plaka beach that, according to its fans, you can spend the entire day there and never feel bored.
Naxos is a Greek island in the South Aegean, the largest of the Cyclades island group. Its fertile landscape spans mountain villages, ancient ruins and long stretches of beach. The namesake capital (also called Hora or Chora) is a port town filled with whitewashed, cube-shaped houses and medieval Venetian mansions. Kastro, a hilltop castle dating to the 13th century, houses an archaeological museum.
Greece is a country in southeastern Europe with thousands of islands throughout the Aegean and Ionian seas. Influential in ancient times, it's often called the cradle of Western civilization. Athens, its capital, retains landmarks including the 5th-century B.C. Acropolis citadel with the Parthenon temple. Greece is also known for its beaches, from the black sands of Santorini to the party resorts of Mykonos.

STORYLINE:
US President Barack Obama made a refuelling stop on Friday night at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany and then continued his flight to India for the start of a much anticipated Asian tour.
The administration says that jobs and the US economy are the focus of Obama's 10-day Asia trip, a message analysts see as aimed at defusing any criticism that he is concentrating on foreign affairs while Americans are suffering with unemployment at 9.6 percent.
He left Washington shortly after the government reported that the economy created 151,000 jobs in October, not enough to lower the jobless rate.
Obama will first make stops in Mumbai and New Delhi before travelling to Indonesia where he lived as a youth, South Korea for the G20 summit, and finally Japan.
In Mumbai, India's booming financial centre, the president will meet local business leaders and American executives who have travelled to India in search of (b) billions of dollars in trade deals.
The White House hopes to announce agreements on aircraft and other exports, and the visit will generally broadcast that America is open for business with burgeoning India and its 1.2 (b) billion residents.
Obama, making the longest trip of his presidency, is spending three days in India after the 15-hour plane journey.
He will spend about a day and a half in Mumbai - staying in the Taj Hotel, targetted by gunmen 2008 - before meetings in New Delhi with government leaders including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
US and Indian officials have stressed the close ties that have developed between the world's two largest democracies over the past decade. It's a relationship both countries hope will expand and improve, partly as a counterbalance to China's growing power.
Obama will be speaking to a gathering of Indian and American chief executives on Saturday, and he's expected to announce the completion of job-producing commercial deals.
However, serious disagreements remain, and they appear unlikely to be resolved during Obama's visit, over such matters as US aid to Pakistan and call-centre out-sourcing
