Here we are at Yujuku Hot Spring, with the advent of summer just around the corner. Yujuku Hot Spring is a post station located at the entrance to Mikuni Pass, which used to be called Mikuni Kaido. It houses seven simple, small hot spring inns. One of them, Yumotokan, permanently runs 62.7°C (144.86°F) natrium-calcium, sulphate hot spring water. Rare mineral encrustations left by hot springs are found here.

It's the rice planting season in Minakami-machi. The first light of dawn in Tanada provides fantastic sceneries. The Japanese River Venture Championship, Japan's biggest rafting event, takes place in Tone River. In Takumi-no-Sato, flowers blossom at the peak.
