Whiteford Adventure.Gower Peninsular,Swansea,Wales [HD]
A trip to the Llangennith round to Blue Pool and then a long walk to the light house at Whiteford point this time at sunset could not have picked a better night to go with clear skies and a mild night never seen so many stars in the sky.
Whiteford Burrows NNR, Gower, South Wales UK.
This time lapse video shows the Whiteford Dunes 'Primary Slack' between October 2015 and March 2016. I had hoped to show the changing water levels within the slack, however the camera was positioned slightly too high up the fence post. The camera was pointing NE.
Exploring Whitefords lighthouse (uk last standing iron cast lighthouse)
so today guys i decided to vist this amazing looking lighthouse that ive wanted to see for a few weeks i didnt have much like on my side but the weather held up enough for me to get some pictures here is the history of the lighthouse
instagram
Whiteford Sands and Whiteford Point Lighthouse is located on the north-western tip of Gower. This is a vast two mile expanse of beach leading out along the edge of the Loughor Estuary. This walk is varied and includes the sand dunes of Whiteford Burrows, that are backed by pine trees. This area is a nature reserve owned by the National Trust.
The decommissioned cast iron lighthouse found at the furthest northern tip of the beach is believed to be the last remaining cast iron lighthouse found in British Isles. The Llanelli Harbour and Burry Navigation Commissioners constructed the lighthouse in 1865 to mark the south side of the channel to the port of Llanelli; it replaced an earlier wooden structure of 1854. The lighthouse remained in use until 1933; more recently the Nature Conservancy Council took up the lease from the Llanelli Harbour Trust.

Mumbles and Langland: An evening stroll with Swansea Ramblers
What better on a summer evening than a gentle walk with friends in countryside near to the city? Some of our newer members joined us to experience a lovely walk through Mumbles to Langland and back over the cliffs.
Our leader, John is here just a month away from his 90th birthday so the benefits of walking for health and well being cannot be understated!!
Of course after the walk, we had a social drink at The Pilot in Mumbles to support the local economy.
Swansea Ramblers enjoy short and long walks every week to explore the countryside while socialising and making new friends.
We have social events such as meals in local restaurants and weekends away, such as to the Cotswolds and Chester.
Visit us on swansearamblers.org.uk to see the photos of our walks and the full programme of upcoming walks.
We'll be pleased to see you on one of our strolls in the country.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.
