At just a 90 minute train ride from London, Whitstable is an ideal place to escape, enjoy the sea, beach and sunshine!
The cosy small streets, the fisherman huts, the harbour and the oysters makes for an ideal place to snap your Instagram pics!
We took the train from London Victoria to Whitstable (£16 return a person off peak).
Arriving at Whitstable, just follow the signs to the center or the shore.
We walked the boulevard both ways and discovered beautiful places. The castle is small but it's a quiet place to hide away if needed.

The Night Whitstable Harbour Floods - 6th December 2013
At high tide at 2am on 6th December 2013, Whitstable Harbour flooded but the sea defences prevented any water from entering the town.

Derek West himself has worked in the family business for sixty years and has seen many changes in the Harbour.
