THE MANOR
Welcome to Wightwick Manor between Bridgnorth and Wolverhampton now owned and run by the National Trust. This a Grade 1 listed Victorian Manor house built in 1887 for the Mander family. This is a William Morris Style arts and crafts movement building, one of only a few remaining. It was built in two stages by Edward Ould of Liverpool with the Great Parlour wing completed in 1893. It has original Morris wall papers and a superb collection of Pre-Raphaelite's.
On a more personal note inside of this building reminds me of pictures that I have seen of Borley Rectory built in 1863 and said to have been the most haunted house in England. Unfortunately it burned down under mysterious circumstances in 1939 and the remaining structure was demolished. I say personal because the story of Borley Rectory has long been the most interesting ghost story I've read about and is what got me into paranormal research many years ago. I intend to visit Borley at some time in the future and conduct an investigation, however I hear the locals are not too keen on visitors.
THE VIDEO
I have been learning a few new filming and editing techniques which is one of the reasons I haven't posted for a little while. Good editing takes a bit of time to learn, hopefully when mastered I will be posting a lot more often. So this is the first time I have completely edited the whole thing using Photoshop, not easy to learn from scratch but it does do a great job allowing me to upload this video at 60 fps unlike Movie maker, which to be honest, has given me some issues.
As for the filming, the time lapse and cinematic parts at the beginning are running at 60 fps, recorded on my cheap 4K action cam(this was only £40) and using a home made(not by me!) 2 axis gimbal. The main part of the explore is filmed at 60 fps on my Gopro 5 using a manual steadycam. The Gopro picks up a lot of noise(audio) from the gimbal and no good if you want to record sound. Finally the vlog parts are recorded on my Nikkon D3200 at 24 fps and using a Rode video micro. Too much info maybe ha ha.
Enjoy Folks!

kitchen garden (wightwick manor and gardens)
its alright skive away from the plot and end up walking round allotments
wightwick manor was built for the mander family who owns mander paints in wolverhampton, situated just outside wolverhampton on the way to bridge north and can be found at the back of the mermaid pub,
the manor was built in 1887 but only finished in 1893, the inside gives off a feel of being older as the tudor decor of the outside is reflected inside ,
geoffry mander gave the national trust the house in 1937 which was unusual for such a young home and mr mander had to add some shares in the manders paint firm to clinch the deal.
