SUP Boarding in Ventry Harbour Ireland
It's not all about Dingle Harbour for Wild SUP Tours. Ventry Harbour was like being in a different country this afternoon. We were able to stand up paddle board into some awesome caves and have a blast playing around. It's all about finding the shelter locations when the wind blows on the Dingle Peninsula (which is often.)

An evening of stand up paddle boarding out at Coumeenoole sup boarding around Dunmore Head. A big grey seal was spotted. There isn't anything much better than exploring the dingle peninsula on a stand up paddle board in the sun!

A few beautiful days sup boarding on Dingle Harbour. This footage was taken during our recon for the upcoming Stand Up Paddle Board tours we will be starting this June. We think it's the best way to explore the Dingle Peninsula and be right up close to all the amazing wildlife you can find there. We can't believe this counts as work!

Stand Up Paddling in Kerry, Ireland in 2018
As we begin our third season of stand up paddling in Co. Kerry we are expanding beyond the Dingle Peninsula. We have added tours in Kenmare Bay and are collaborating with the Reeks District tourism alliance to bring stand up paddle boarding to Caragh Lake and beyond. We are super excited about these new ventures, the details of which can be found on our website here.
This video is a compilation of the Dingle Peninsula and Kenmare Bay. It's been a great start to the new season, with some chilly mornings and some beautiful sunsets. SUP in Ireland truly is a delightful treat.

Our First Otter Sighting in Dingle Harbour!
Don't let the rain stop you from paddling in Ireland. It's those times, with few humans around when truly magical things might happen. Last night, our intrepid stand up paddlers braved the rain and were thoroughly rewarded by a very special encounter.
In a sheltered cove of Dingle Harbour the group came across a family of European Otters!!!!! We got to watch them feed, one guy caught a fish and proceeded to eat it in front of us, and play, they twirled and bobbed in the water. It was, simply put, incredible.
It also made us wish we had a better camera with a telephoto lens so that we could capture the experience in higher definition. In the meantime, the phone footage will have to do!

An Evening SUP boarding in September in Dingle Harbour
Here is some footage of a beautiful week in september stand up paddle boarding in dingle harbour. Exploring the Wild Atlantic Way on a SUP is one of my favorite things to do, especially on days like these. Only the epicness of classical music can communicate the feeling.

We've been paddling the Dingle Peninsula for two summers now with some truly wonderful people in some awe inspiring locations. Like all good things, the summer season too must come to an end. Oona Learning to Surf her New Board
The first day out on a brand new board! I have to say, I like it. Learning to surf has not been as easy as learning to stand up paddle board. It's been frustrating at times, annoying and sometimes pure joy! Where as SUP boarding is mostly calm and peaceful. I'll have to keep working on that pop up.

On one of the great winter swells, Ed took the brand new board (we call it the Beast) out for a test drive! Surfing is truly Ed's passion. Stand Up paddle come in second place, but anything to do with the ocean and he's game for a go!

Stand Up Paddle Boarding in Ireland
People rarely associate Ireland with watersports. Why though? It has thousands of mile of coastline, stunning scenery and isn't even that cold thanks to the gulf stream. People do watersports in Ireland, so it's not that, just a lack of association. This needs to be explored, the coastline needs to be explored and the global perception can then start to change. Maybe I shouldn't say this, maybe I should keep our waves empty and our opportunities greater.

Stand Up Paddle Shenanigans in Dingle Harbour
The second half of June, here at Wild SUP Tours, has been full of different ways to jump/fall off of the stand up paddle board. And it is an excellent time! Paddling a SUP is only half the fun. The other half happens when you accept getting wet and you start testing your balance skills.

The Long Walk Back from Stand Up Paddling
Great day out, pity about the wind and the walk back to base camp. Sometimes when you go stand up paddle boarding on the Dingle Peninsula, the wind might shift unexpectedly. When this happens sometimes it's better to land somewhere other than where you had originally planned. It all adds to the adventure!

Taking Advantage of a Break in the Weather with SUP
After a week or more of wind and rain it was great to get out onto the water again and get back to stand up paddle boarding. Some footage of our adventuring with our kids' camp and friends. Our Eco Explorer Camp was a great opportunity for these kids to get acquainted with water safety, watersports, ecology and plain old fun!
