Tidal Bore Rafting in Nova Scotia
We went tidal bore rafting up the Shubenacadie River in Nova Scotia. The Shubenacadie River feeds from the Bay of Fundy, which is the spot where the highest tides can be found in the world. This means that the river runs almost dry and then within a short time frame, it turns into a roaring river. When the tides come in from the Bay of Fundy, they create a unique rapids called tidal bores. The tidal bores can create waves that range from a couple of inches to over 10 feet high! Our tour took us out on a crazy rafting adventure to ride through the tidal bore--it was a fantastic time!

RAW: World's largest tidal bore engulfs Chinese river
The tidal bore on Monday kept soaring in the Qiantang River in east China's Zhejiang Province, providing a spectacular view for residents and tourists. The tidal waves crashed into the dam, formed high waves and then headed backward, presenting a magnificent view of back-flow tide.
Approaching super typhoon Dujuan will be felt in the tidal bore of the Qiantang River, known as the world's largest tidal bore.
