Britain's WORST Food The Pork Pie | Ironbridge World Heritage Site, England Road Trip Travel Vlog 10
The worst British food has to be the pork pie and all its jelly! This weeks travel vlog we visit Ironbridge the World Heritage Site. We are exploring England on a Road Trip and it brought us to the birth place of the oldest cast iron bridge. Ironbridge is a small town on the river severn with a lot to see and do.
We then visited Blists Hill, the Victorian living museum. We got taken back in time seeing how they used to live while eating ginger nut biscuits and seeing old stuff haha.

We are an English travelling couple who met in Thailand, got engaged in Czech Republic and have continued to travel the world together ever since!
Our most recent challenge was leaving the UK with just £500 between us and the aim to create a sustainable travel lifestyle!
We work online and aim to spread the message of “Earn Less, Live More”, which encourages people to question their definition of success, and to pursue what makes them truly happy instead of chasing only money.
Creating this location independent lifestyle has helped us through depression and given us an incredible opportunity to make our lives more fulfilling. We want others to do the same and join us on this full time travel and digital nomad journey!
‘Submitting to my husband like it's 1959': Why I became a TradWife ¦ BBC Stories
TradWives is a growing movement of women who promote ultra-traditional gender roles. Search the hashtag ‘tradwife’ on social media and you’ll see images of cooked dinners and freshly-baked cakes with captions like, “A woman’s place is in the home” or “Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman”.
The term ‘tradwife’ is particularly controversial because of its associations with the far right, especially in the United States. But many self-described tradwives reject that association.
Alena, who lives in the UK, says it’s about “submitting to and spoiling her husband like it’s 1959” - as well as supporting a return to “traditional English manners, lifestyle and values.”

Fallow Deer at Dyrham Park | National Trust Wildlife UK
Dyrham Park's name originates from the Saxon word for deer. An ancient deer park with a herd of almost 200 wild fallow deer it stays true to its roots.
With 270 acres to roam free, a herd of 200 fallow deer can often be spotted at Dyrham Park - munching conkers under the trees in the autumn and nursing their young by the woods in the springtime.
Dyrham Park has been a deer park for centuries; originally called Doerham (the Saxon word for deer) it is still home to these wild animals.

Horrible Pictures & BCTC Graduation Vlog
In this vlog, we visited with Christina, Gavin and Amelia. I also went through some of Ashley’s old school scrapbooks and looked through her Valentine’s Day cards. It was interesting to see who was popular at that time. I discovered some long forgotten family photos and we went to the Bluegrass Community & Technical College graduation (this is where Kevin is an Assistant Dean & Professor).

The History of Mr. Polly Audiobook by H. G. Wells | Audiobook with subtitles
A funny and touching account of the imaginative Mr. Polly who, bored and trapped in his conventional life, makes a U-turn –- and changes everything.
H.G. Wells’ early life as the son of a semi-insolvent shopkeeper and as a draper’s apprentice fueled his novels of the lower middle class: The Wheels of Chance (1896), Kipps (1905), and The History of Mr. Polly (1910). These works evoke the desperation of apprentices, clerks, and small traders in their monotonous toil behind shop counters. And, like Mr. Polly, his protagonists make a break from their mundane lives with more or less success.
H. G. Wells (1866-1946) was a prolific writer in history, general and science fiction, and politics. He was a lifelong socialist. (Summary by Adrian Praetzellis)

24 The Christmas Dinner by Washington Irving, unabridged audiobook
Genre(s): Horror & Supernatural Fiction, Travel Fiction, General Fiction, Romance, Short Stories
The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon, Gent.
Washington IRVING (1783 - 1859)
The Sketch Book was first published in seven numbers/installments in the United States before being published in two volumes in London (1819-1820). The generally enthusiastic reception of Irving's sketches in England was unusual, since at the time British opinion of American literature was pretty low. Irving's sketches were formally innovative and successful--he is credited by literary historians as being the first American author to make a living as a professional author. In particular, as Irving explicitly makes reference to in a short essay concluding the second volume of the London edition, his intent was to create pieces that didn't necessarily hang together as a whole, but which were heterogeneous in nature. Irving's logic was that his miscellany was written for different humours and that his end was that it should contain something to suit each reader.
Apart from Rip Van Winkle and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow - the pieces which made both Irving and The Sketch Book famous - other tales include Roscoe, The Broken Heart, The Art of Book-making, A Royal Poet, The Spectre Bridegroom, Westminster Abbey, Little Britain, and John Bull. His stories were highly influenced by German folktales, with The Legend of Sleepy Hollow being inspired by a folktale recorded by Karl Musäus. Stories range from the maudlin (such as The Wife and The Widow and Her Son) to the picaresque (Little Britain) and the comical (The Mutability of Literature), but the common thread running through The Sketch Book - and a key part of its attraction to readers - is the personality of Irving's pseudonymous narrator, Geoffrey Crayon. Erudite, charming, and never one to make himself more interesting than his tales, Crayon holds The Sketch Book together through the sheer power of his personality - and Irving would, for the rest of his life, seamlessly enmesh Crayon's persona with his own public reputation.
