St Marys to Pinehurst Lake - Rural Ontario Bike Tour - Day 8 of 9
This video summarizes day 8 of my 9 day solo bicycle trip through South-Western Ontario, Canada. All of the clips in the video were filmed on Saturday, May 26, 2018.
Starting at my campsite at Wildwood Conservation Area I rode out of the park and onto Line 9 heading in the East direction. I turned right and briefly headed south on 115 Rd before continuing east along Perth Oxford Rd. When I reached 37th line I turned and headed south again before making a left turn and continuing east along Oxford Road 96. After several kilometers I made a right turn and headed south on 16 line. I turned left when I reached Oxford Rd 8 and continued east until I got to Oxford Rd 22 where I headed south again. I turned left when I got to Oxford Rd 29 and headed towards the community of Drumbo. This road took me up and over highway 401. I stopped for lunch at the Drumbo Pub and ordered a Hot Hamburg. From there I continued riding east until I reached Pinehurst Rd where I turned and headed North East and entered into Pinehurst Lake Conversation Area where I camped for the night. After pitching my tent and going for a quick swim in the lake, I got back on my bike and headed out for dinner. The community of Ayr is relatively close and I took Brant-Waterloo Rd and Swan St to get there. On the way home I took Swan St, Ayr Rd and Drumbo Rd.
Strava for Day 8:
The bike I used for this trip is a New York made Linear Recumbent Bike which I believe is from around 2004. I carried my gear in 2 Giant Waterproof Panniers, and mounted my tent and sleeping pad on the top of the rack.

Fishing Wildwood For Smallmouth Bass
Fishing Wildwood Conservation 2017. Smallmouth bass, pike and rockbass on the menu for this outing. One of our favorite fishing holes located just outside of St. Mary's. Wildwood has always produced for us, but it can also be a very tough fish at times.
This is one lake my friend Sam owns even on bad days!

Some friends of mine were fishing on this day, so I thought I would buzz them. Plus wanted to get some aerial video of another friends place, so I flew from his lawn next to the lake.

Pinery Provincial Park to St Marys - Rural Ontario Bike Tour - Day 7 of 9
This video summarizes day 7 of my 9 day solo bicycle trip through South-Western Ontario, Canada. All of the clips in the video were filmed on Friday, May 25, 2018.
Starting at my campsite at Pinery Provincial Park I rode out of the park and onto Highway 21. The took the multi-use path heading North East to Greenway Drive, then headed South East. This road eventually changes names and becomes Mt Carmel Dr. I rode it all the way to Richmond St where I turned and headed south. I rode past Dave's Farm (formerly davidsfarm on YouTube), then into the community of Lucan where the road changes names to Main St. After stopping for lunch at Pad Thai restaurant, I continued through Lucan and headed north along Saintsbury Line. When I reached Fallon Dr I turned right and headed east into the small community of Granton. I briefly jogged south on Granton Line, then east along Awmik Dr, then north along Clarke Rd. When I reached Whalen Line I turned and headed South East until the community of Prospect Hill. From there I turned onto Perth County Rd 139 and headed North East into the town of St Mary's. After stopping at the Town Hall building to play the piano, I decided to go and check out the Canadian Baseball Hall of fame. From Queen St I followed Church St. When I discovered that the museum wasn't open I proceeded out of town along Tracy St, Park St, Elizabeth St, Brock st, Elgin St, and Cain St. From there I continued riding East along County Rd 9 until I reached the traffic circle where it intersects with Highway 7. Just beyond there is Wildwood Conservation area, where I camped for the evening. I returned to St Marys and had dinner at Little Red's Pub and Eatery and also visited the Sarina Bridge of the Grand Truck Railway.

Wildwood SamFest
Back to our home lake of Wildwood to fish for bass. Today was all Sam with a full platter of fish catching smallmouth bass, rock bass, pike and even a decent size perch! He totally took me to school today while I managed to avoid being skunked with a late morning pike. Was a good few hours of fun.

Tossing some baits around for Northern Pike, this video is proof Daryl did infact catch a fish, and I'm the reason that there is no photo evidence ... Sadly, the fish eluded grip, and peaced out hard.
