Wilson's Falls in Bracebridge, Ontario

Wilson's Falls is one of several waterfalls along the north branch of the Muskoka River. Located just north of Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada, this is one of the least visited yet most beautiful of the area's waterfalls.
The river is dammed in the area but that takes away little from the waterfalls. The spectacle consists of several rapids, cascades and plunges over several hundred feet of river. Like anything to do with water in this area, levels vary drastically, depending on time of year and amount of precipitation.
There is a small parking lot near the waterfall and there is no fee. There are also no services at the park.

A look at Wilson's Falls on the Muskoka River in Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada. The waterfall is not overly grandiose but is quite photogenic with its multiple drops over the rock of the Canadian Shield.
The waterfall is found by following River Road to Wilson's Falls Road and following that to the end. Some of the water of the Muskoka River is diverted to a power dam, as well, at this location.
There is a small parking lot with no other facilities at the site. Walking trails run through the area.

Wilsons Falls: Spring on the North Branch of the Muskoka River (Bracebridge, ON - May 2016)
The North Branch of the Muskoka River flows over a lengthy cascade just northeast of downtown Bracebridge, known as Wilsons Falls. There is a trail that follows the banks of the river to a bridge, that crosses the river just above the waterfall. Once the bridge has been crossed, the trail continues over rough terrain. At this point, the waterfall begins to come into view.
Once at the end of the trail, the river is in full view and one can explore the falls more closely. There is also a full view of Wilsons Falls a short distance down the road from the trailhead. It becomes viewable across a widening of the river at the bottom of the cascade.
This video was shot in late May, 2016 near Bracebridge, Ontario.

Bracebridge Falls is found in the centre of Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada on the north branch of the Muskoka River. There is an upper and lower waterfall, both shown in the video, which have been severely controlled by man with dams and diversions.
The location was subject to terrible flooding in April, 2013. There are many videos on YouTube that show the severity. This video, taken in August, 2013 shows a much tamer Muskoka River and Bracebridge Falls.
There are several other waterfalls in the area, including Wilson's Falls and High Falls.
