Wind Cave Hiking Trail Logan Canyon Utah
Known as one of the most popular trails in Logan Canyon, the Wind Cave Hiking trail is located approximately 5.3 miles up the canyon across from the Guinavah - Malibu Campground. This family friendly hike offers beautiful views with the highlight of the trail being the natural cave.
The Wind Cave trail is considered a moderate hike, but because of the large switch backs the constant elevation gain of 1030 feet is more gradual than straight up. As you hike the trail, views of the surrounding canyon are spectacular and there are several areas to stop, rest, and take in the scenery. One view from the Wind Cave trail that will instantly stand out is the 200 foot cliffs located across the canyon known as China Wall.

Wind Caves Logan Canyon Utah
Wind Caves hike above Logan Canyon Utah. Trailhead is 5.5 miles up the canyon from the Ranger Station, on the left (North) side across from the Malibu Campground. The Caves are only 1.8 miles from the Trailhead, but you gain around 1000 ft. from 5000 to 6000 ft. MSL. I wanted to go see these caves because (dive buds take note) the photos reminded me of Makaha Caverns and Sharks Cove dives on Oahu, especially the images of the skylight. Hey cousin! Dat a 7-11 Crab in da puka in the ceiling of da Cavern =)

Two must-do Hikes in Cache Valley, Utah | Walker Week 19, 2016
Deep Canyon & the Wind Caves are two must-do hikes in Cache Valley, Utah. We did one right after the other.
We visited Kristin in Salt Lake city,
Grandpa Dave gets greeted by a drone while gardening,
Cooper gave Katie a mouthful of milk,
Dallin bought a downhill mountain bike,
we spent a lot of time swinging in the hammock,
we managed to pile 3 picnics into a single day,
Jordan and Katie made WAY too much creme brulee,
and Cooper tasted sushi.

Logan Canyon / Spring Hollow - Logan, Utah
We met while attending Utah State University in Logan, Utah. We passed through Logan again on a recent road trip. Seems like college was a million years ago, and Logan has changed a lot. However, the nearby canyons are still just as beautiful as they always were. We took the girls for short hike in Logan Canyon's Spring Hollow. It was one of our favorite places for hikes, mountain biking, and picnics back in college. One of the best features is a massive spring that starts as a dry hillside and immediately becomes a small river. (1:16-3:17 in the video) Beautiful place!

Old Ephraim's Grave 4WD Road - Logan, Utah
For the full trail guide please visit:
The life of a grizzly bear is celebrated among this trail as it runs to the grave of Old Ephraim, the last known grizzly bear in the state of Utah. Along this scenic drive through the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache national forest situated near Logan, Utah, you will wind your way through aspen groves, towering pines, and across open valleys. This off-road trail is a great way to escape the heat of the city during the few months of the year that it is open. Due to its elevation and location deep in the mountains, it is only accessible about 6 months out of the year. Camping and hunting are very popular along this trail so you are likely to not be alone. Although this may seem like an easy trail, there is much to see and do in the area so you can plan anything from a day trip to a multi-day adventure within this large network of trails, combining it with routes such as FSR 007, Millville Canyon and Logan Peak, or you can jump over to Bear Lake Summit Trail or Temple Canyon and spend some time down at Bear Lake.
