From the Bowness Bay, we took the Windermere Lake Cruises for an hour and half. Magnificent sceneries awaits as we sail through the Lake Windermere, England's largest lake in the heart of Lake District.

24 hours canoeing on windermere

canoe trip on windermere, over night on a island camping with my son. over to Ambleside waterhead up brathay river and rothay river. stop of at pull wood bay. past wray castle up to the back of belle isle on to Thompson holme. out on a windy lake. through Bowness bay and past miller ground on are way back to white cross bay. bit of Bushcraft and a wild camp. british 24h MRE. good fun and lots of memoirs. lots for camera problems from the off. Nikon fell in the water. Gopro went flat. last bit was on my phone.

Lake Windermere on Bowness in the Lake District

Windermere is overlooked by the quaint town of Bowness and is the biggest lake in The Lake District. Set a in beautiful mountainous backdrop, Lake Windermere is really a site to behold. There is a lot to do in Lake Windermere- boating, kayaking or just browsing the many shops of Bowness. This video of Lake Windermere was captured on a bright spring day- the warmest day of the year so far!
