Just a few short weeks before their intimate Muskoka wedding we received an email from Nicole and Duane to ask if by chance we were still available on July 2, 2015 to film and photograph their wedding story. I don’t think we’ve ever captured a Thursday wedding before, but being that the July 1st holiday (Canada Day) fell on a Wednesday this year, this was in fact the perfect day for their wedding celebration. What makes this so unique is that Nik and Duane live in Sydney, Australia which meant that planning out the details of their wedding would have to happen online and via skype. I must admit I was smitten from our very first skype call… who doesn’t love an Aussie accent, right? And they were both, so visibly, head over heels for one another and so excited for their wedding, that we knew this was going to be something very special. Indeed, it was an exceptionally beautiful day at Windermere House on July 2nd and although Nik’s family and many of their closest friends from Australia were not able to attend in person they did have a small group of Duane’s family and a few mutual friends who were able to join them. Nicole’s dearest friend Margie flew all the way from Australia and Duane’s youngest daughter India stood by Nik’s side and gave the most amazing toast at the luncheon reception. The combined simplicity and elegance of their wedding details as well as having Duane’s long-time friend Kerry marry them, and Tobin Spring play beautiful acoustic music all afternoon, truly made this a memorable day for all. We are elated to share this highlight of their wedding story so that all of their friends and family can share in this celebration with Nik & Duane and experience the beauty of Muskoka (one of our very favourite places). Much love to this very special couple… thank you for choosing us to capture all of your precious wedding memories!

Wedding Featured on Style Me Pretty Canada
Jo and Aaron were married on June 9th at the Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club in beautiful Port Carling, Ontario. We were so looking forward to our very first Muskoka wedding and it didn't disappoint. When we arrived at the JW Marriott and checked in on the Friday afternoon we were already in love with the rustic nature that surrounded us. We headed over to The Rock where Aaron and his groomsmen were playing a round of golf and were able to follow them in our own cart on a couple of holes. The morning of the wedding day Jo's mom Patty came to pick us up at the marina in one of the family boats and it was just starting to rain. As the clouds rolled in and the skies opened up we all wondered if it would clear up in time for the photo session and ceremony. Aaron had sent over a series of clues for his bride to try and figure out where they were going to be heading for their honeymoon. She started with a crossword and then a word scramble and a few others to keep her and her bridesmaids guessing all morning long. When the rain stopped just after noon we were all crossing our fingers that we had seen the last of it. After a very special first look on the family dock the bridal party and families headed out for the photo session at a nearby cottage where the grounds were breathtaking. The ceremony and reception were held at the country club in a large room that extended right out over the water and had beautiful windows all around. Everything was gorgeous and there was evidence of Jo and Aaron's personalities in many of the details (many of which were put together by Patty herself). We were all thoroughly entertained by Signal Hill as they performed many classic hits and kept everyone dancing late into the night. With a few more Muskoka weddings coming up this summer we are excited to return to the north and we are equally excited to share the highlights from Jo and Aaron's amazing, romantic, oh-so-beautiful wedding story!

Brittany & Gabriel's Wedding :: Muskoka, Ontario
What happens when a cheerleader meets a track star? Well, you get Brittany and Gabriel!
Brittany, a cheerleader for the @Ottawa REDBLACKS fell for her high school sweetheart back in grade nine and he has been on his feet ever since! These two tied the knot up in Muskoka, Ontario on July 28, 2018, at the Northridge Inn & Resort on an absolutely stunning dock ceremony!
Although the morning began a little overcast and uncertain, the day went off without a hitch and concluded with one of the most beautiful sunsets and first dances we have seen.
Their first look is as romantic as could be, the Bride looked stunning, the groom looked fresh and the wedding party was ready to go. This day inevitably turned out to be epic for everyone and we probably enjoyed shooting this wedding as much as the guest did partying!
We hope you enjoy this beautiful highlight film!
Enjoy,
~BS~
