Drove 2 hours and 30 minutes from Birmingham, to Lake District, and explored for the first time Windermere and Ambleside.
It’s one of the most beautiful places I have visited so far in UK. Once I reached Windermere, I took a cruise up to the north of the lake in Amble side. This was a 45 minutes journey on the lake which offered some mesmerizing views.
I will surely return to this place, stay for a longer period of time and explore the mountains as well.

The building of MV Swift
Our new 'steamer' is currently being built at Lakeside Pier. MV Swift will be launched in May 2020 and we'll be recording the build via our time-lapse video. Here is the first sections that were delivered by road on 22 July 2019.

M.V. Tern - Windermere Lake Cruises
Built by Forrest & Son, Wyvenhoe, Essex in 1891, as a steam-powered yacht, it was converted to diesel power In 1956. Tern is 145ft in length and weighs 121 tonnes. On board, manned by a crew of 4 and can reach a speed of 10 knots with its 2 x 6 cylinder Cummins diesel engines, 2 x auxiliary generators and bow thruste.
