Windlesham is a village in the Surrey Heath borough of Surrey, England and civil parish that covers Bagshot and Lightwater in the same borough. Its name derives from the Windle Brook which runs south of the village into Chobham and the common suffix 'ham', the Old English word for 'homestead'.
Today Windlesham has a main clustered community with various clubs. The main public parkland is linked by footpath across the M3 motorway cutting across the south of the parish, Windlesham Arboretum. Passing through its north is the A30 (London Road), two nearby train stations and Heathrow Airport make the settlement economically largely a commuter village. It has one church, St John the Baptist, the Windlesham Club and Theatre and six public houses.
A few large companies of late-20th-century origin have based themselves in Windlesham, including Rainbow Play Systems and the Linde Group.

Marks Hall Garden and Arboretum - Essex 2017

Marks Hall is a great place to walk around all times of year. Marks Hall was used as a Head Quarters during WWII for Earls Colne Airfield. You can see many of the ruined buildings dotted around. They have a beautiful walled garden (not open at this time of year), but in the summer it is fantastic.
They have a great tea room where you can get drinks, cakes and lunches too. Also have a great little gift shop too.

Dukes - Thorp Perrow

A family Trip to The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew- A big day out with Peter Rabbit
My wife had arranged to spend the morning with her school friend and her family at The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, mainly for the Easter Exhibition - A big day out with Peter Rabbit.
Kew gardens is close to both of us, in fact for my family we are just over 5 miles away and a 20 minute drive. It’s one of the places we used to visit when we moved to London but never been back with our children. So, the Peter Rabbit exhibition was a great excuse to visit this amazing open space.
With over 250 years of history and 326 acres of land to explore, there was no way the kids or even us adults would get bored.
We headed straight to meet my wife’s friends at The Peter Rabbit exhibition. We probably spent about 10 minutes walking around the Peter Rabbit exhibition. In all honestly it was a bit of a let-down, the kids could make bunny ears out of pipe cleaners, plant some sun flower seeds and then using the printed map, get some Peter Rabbit stamps.
Also, on offer at the Peter Rabbit Big Day out, was a story teller the chance to have a go at willow weaving.
We then headed to The Hive*
* The Hive is a unique, multi-sensory experience designed to highlight the extraordinary life of bees. A feat of British engineering, it stands 17 metres tall, set in a wildflower meadow.
I’ve seen photos of The Hive online, but never seen it for real. It’s an amazing structure. Just standing there and looking at it and wondering how it was built. It’s great to get kids learning about bees, the noises bees make. It’s a must to see.
After our walk around The Hive, we headed to the Princess of Wales Conservatory, 10 climate zones all under 1 roof. Grace really enjoyed running around and exploring the “jungle” area and looking for the hidden Poison Dart Frog.
Sadly, this was to be the last leg of our visit to Kew Gardens, with all 3 kids under 5 completed zonked, we headed back to our car.
I really wanted to see the Treetop Walkway
Walk 18 metres above the woodland floor through the tops of trees and also the Bamboo Garden and Minka House.
I’m pretty sure we will be returning pretty soon when the weather turns warmer.
All in all, it was a great day out.
If you haven’t visited The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, I would highly recommend it.
We had an enjoyable day out and exploring Mother Nature and her amazing Trees and Plants.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

Surrey ( SURR-ee) is a county in South East England which borders Kent to the east, West Sussex to the south, Hampshire to the west, Berkshire to the north-west, and Greater London to the north-east.
With about 1.2 million people, Surrey is the twelfth most populous English county, the third most populous home county, after Kent and Essex, and the third most populous in the South East, after Hampshire and Kent.
Guildford is popularly regarded as the county town, although Surrey County Council is based extraterritorially at Kingston upon Thames.
Surrey is divided into eleven districts: Elmbridge, Epsom and Ewell, Guildford, Mole Valley, Reigate and Banstead, Runnymede, Spelthorne, Surrey Heath, Tandridge, Waverley, and Woking.
The London boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark, Wandsworth, and parts of Lewisham and Bromley were in Surrey until 1889, as were Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Sutton and the part of Richmond upon Thames on the right bank of the River Thames until 1965, when they were absorbed into Greater London, and the county extended north of the Thames by the addition of Spelthorne, as a result of the dissolution of Middlesex.
Surrey is a wealthy county due to economic, aesthetic, conservation and logistical factors. It has the highest GDP per capita of any English county, some of the highest property values outside Inner London, and also the highest cost of living outside of the capital.
Surrey has the highest proportion of woodland of counties in England. It has large protected green spaces (such as the North Downs, Greensand Ridge and related Surrey Hills AONB and royal landscapes adjoin it — Windsor Great Park and Bushy Park near the River Thames). It has four horse racing courses, and golf courses including international competition venue Wentworth.
Surrey is close to Heathrow and Gatwick airports and the M25, M3 and M23 motorways and has frequent rail services to central London.
