Windsor tourists excited over imminent royal birth
(21 Apr 2019) Tourists and locals filled the high-street around Windsor Castle on Easter Sunday, as a religious service with the Queen and members of the British royal family took place inside at Saint George's Chapel.
But as the Easter traditions continue inside the castle, many outside await the birth of an exciting new addition the royal family.
With the due date fast approaching, the British-American royal baby is the main topic for royal followers and general visitors.
Joe and Dina, a British-American couple, said felt they could relate to some things the young royal couple has gone through and they welcome the change in the traditional British monarchy.
It is quite a modern concept compared to a lot of the stuff that the royal family (do) and the world they inhabit, said Joe.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Meghan Markle, as a divorced, American, Roman Catholic-raised woman of colour, has shaken up the British royal family tree with her modern sense of style and reported eco-friendly touches to her nursery.
And while some are accepting of the changes she's bringing to the monarchy, others show concerns about the modernization, such as Windsor resident and shop assistant Derek Prime
All these changes she is doing, she wants a male nanny, how many people you know have a male nanny, you know?
The royal baby, expected in late April, will fall seventh in line for the throne, right behind Prince Harry.

Royal Wedding At Windsor (1914-1918)
Royal Wedding at Windsor, Berkshire.
High angle shots. Open coach pulled by two white horses pulls up at steps to a building. A Tudor timbered building is seen in the background. People stand around watching. Footage becomes extremely light, but we can just make out the bride and her father (or groom) getting out of the coach and walking up the steps.
Blank section (too pale to see anything). Gradually we see a picture coming through, of the bride and groom being driven off in their coach after the ceremony. Other wedding guests make their way down their steps of St George's Chapel (?) to get into their coaches.

Things to do in Windsor, England: 2 minute guide to the top attractions
Visitor Vids tourist guide to Windsor, England. Make the most of your day out with our brand new, two minute guide to the top visitor attractions in Windsor.
The Royal Borough of Windsor, a beautiful, historic riverside town is situated some 30 miles west of London.
A must-see is Windsor Castle, Her Majesty the Queen’s favourite weekend retreat. It’s the largest and oldest inhabited castle in the world, the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years.
In the grounds you’ll find St George’s Chapel, founded in 1348 by Henry 111.
Look to see if the Royal Standard is flying from the Round Tower – this means the Queen is in residence.
Watch for the changing of the guard ceremony – a colourful display of British pageantry.
The Great Park, the private hunting ground of Windsor Castle, dates from the 13th century. The avenue of trees, known as the Long Walk, offers beautiful views of the castle and park.
Windsor is a vibrant market town with a wide range of shops and restaurants. Walk past the Guildhall, the town hall of Windsor. Here in 2005 Charles, Prince of Wales married Camilla Parker Bowles. That year the Guildhall also hosted the same sex civil partnership ceremony between Sir Elton John and David Furnish.
A stroll to the river via the shops brings you to the beautiful river Thames and Windsor Bridge. On the left bank you’ll find Eton, with its famous college, founded in 1440 by Henry IV, where many famous people in the public eye have been educated.
Further afield you’ll find Legoland, which appeals to children of all ages.
From the bridge look back to the town and the magnificent castle which dominates it.
