Daybreak reveals extent of flash flooding Windsor Train Station 5FEB2011. Flood Water Melbourne VIC
Floody Hell! Day breaks on a flooded Windsor Metro Train Station, Melbourne Victoria 5FEB2011 after storm activity caused flash flooding in much of the Australian city. Later that day pumps were brought in to move the water out faster so train services could resume for the Monday rush.

First Train Into Wanganui After The Great Flood Of 2015
(New Zealand) Train 560 crawls cautiously through the mud infested yard beside the Whanganui River. A track worker digs away at a turnout, prior to the Castlecliff bound trains arrival. The last scene is of the train crossing Heads Road a short time later.
The bad weather system that brought heavy rain to the Whanganui catchment also created havoc on the Marton - New Plymouth Line. The first section of the MNPL to reopen for business was from Marton Junction to East Town, after the slips had been cleared and structures inspected. Train 560 had just positioned a rake of log wagons at East Town before rolling into Wanganui township.
The MNPL is washed out in many places north of Aramoho Junction, and will remain closed to freight for two to three weeks. So Castlecliff is effectively the terminus of a 50km long branch from Marton for a few weeks!

A sample of Hitachi train destos
We were granted permission to film the desto of a Victorian Hitachi train resting at Belgrave being scrolled to Flinders Street, including a few surprises!
The scroll of a Hitachi train's desto lists a large number of current, past and future destinations, in alphabetical order. The destos shown in this video go from Alamein to Flinders Street.

Minecraft Metro Trains' X'Trapolis at Elsternwick
A small video part of a small series from Sandringham to Flinders Street stopping at some fake and ludicrous stations. Obviously its fake - X'Trapolis would never operate on that line.
Part 7 of the Fake Sandringham line is so big that this is only the half with the trains in it! High emphasis on the X'Trapolis this time, and Siemens. Victorian Transport Spotter had some great ideas for camera angles, and most of them were used - that's why this video lacks Fluffy's terribleness! Also just as some extras - Volgren Optimus Volvo B5LH CDC Hybrid Bus and Volgren CR221L TransBus Dennis Dart SLF Ventura midibus telebus.

Train Races and Leasers! 06-11-11
EPISODE 11
I heard that there were some leaser locomotives in the Hamilton area, so I decided to head over to Bayview Junction and the cowpath to catch them! The first train is an eastbound CN mixed freight with two Dash 9's leading it (2202 and ????). Near the end of the train, CN 567's power barely caught up to the last few cars of the train. After these trains passed, I heard that CN 331 would be passing through soon, so I headed over to the cowpath to see it. I just got there in time to catch it idling, waiting for a light. Unfortunately, 331 had standard power leading it; an SD75I and a C44-9W (5755 and 2567). After 331 had cleared, CN 148 arrived with more boring power. CN Dash 9 2636 and SD75I 5729. To somewhat relieve the pain of these all-to-common lash-ups, CN 422 passed by with a decent array of power; CN 2227 (ES44DC), CN 9486 (SD40-2W) and CN 8888 (SD70M-2). This train waited just before the junction to allow a westbound VIA train through. The VIA train was led by VIA F40PH-3 6436 and several BUDD cars. (This VIA Rail was not captured on film due to my camera failing to power on, but can be heard on the radio at 3:56 of the video.) After that VIA passed, the foamer-favourite CN management train (most likely CN 908) passed onto the Oakville Sub with the regular two C40-8M's leading. Next, another westbound VIA Rail train with P42DC 920 leading five LRC cars. And finally, the best catch of the video, Canadian Pacific Train number 247 (which can be heard on the radio frequently throughout the video) pulled up while switching in Kinnear Yard. 247 had SOO SD60 6026 leading, and CP GP9 1614 (still in original pacman scheme) and ICE SD40-2 6210 trailing. This train began to ascend the two percent grade of the Hamilton Subdivision, then went into reverse to continue its' switching in Kinnear. Enjoy!

Sandringham Station Crashed Bank Train Removal
at around 8:15pm on Wednesday the 9th of March a 6 car Siemens crashed though the wall of the Sandringham Bendigo Bank Branch. The train was in road 2 (not the platform) and was going to shunt back out and onto the up the line to Brighton Beach where it was to be stabled for the night. This accident occurred due to a combination of speeding and brake failure. This happened approximately one hour after the Pakenham Incident where another Siemens train had ran out the end of a siding and into a stanchion .
The Sandringham train was then pulled out by three T class locomotives on the Sunday. The train was taken to Newport workshops.
