Hungarian Wine: Exotic Wine Travel in Balaton
Exotic Wine Travel shares impressions of Hungarian wine from the Balaton wine region. Our visit to the Lake Balaton region was short but yielded some wine gems and great experiences. Lake Balaton is one of the largest wine regions in Hungary. It is primarily a white wine region although there are both juicy and serious reds being made on both sides of the lake. There are some unique wine grapes here, including Bakator, Cserszegi Füszere, Kéknylanü, Rózsakö, Vulcanus, and Zeusz. The main white wine grape is Olaszrizling and Cabernet Franc for red wine grape, although many producers believe Pinot Noir can thrive here as well.

Hungary - Tokay - The wine of Kings and the King of wines
A journey through Hungary's really begins in the valleys, fields and open plains. We'd traveled to the wine country in Hungary's northeast close to the border with Slovakia. Home to the famous sweet Tokaj grape. It's a region where you'll find villages and ancient castles side by side. Tradition runs strong here and little has changed despite the unpredictability of politics.
Hungarian Wine From Neszmély
???? Exotic Wine Travel visits the Neszmély wine region in Hungary. This is a relatively small region in northern Hungary. There are only about 1,500 hectares of vineyards here, with white wine grapes accounting for the majority of the plantings. You can learn more about the Neszmély wine region in our article here:

The point of no return | Hungarian wine
Video Shiur: The point of no return | Hungarian wine
There comes a an amazing point in a persons Teshuva (repentance) where they hit the point of no return. Rebbe Nachman told a story: Once a great merchant traveled with fine Hungarian wine. His servant and wagon driver told him, “We are traveling with this wine, and we are suffering so much. Give us some wine to taste.” He gave them some of the wine. A while later, this servant happened to be among wine-drinkers in a small town. The others drank some wine and praised it highly, saying that it was Hungarian wine. The servant said, “Let me try some.” When they gave him some, he said, “This isn’t good Hungarian wine at all.” They were angry and rebuked him. But he answered, “I know that this isn’t good Hungarian wine because I have already had much better.” But they didn’t pay any attention to him. Rabbi Nachman said, “In the future, when Moshiach will come, when this old wine is given to others, they will be fooled; one will be able to give them Wolochian or Stravitzer wine, and tell them that it is good wine. But our people cannot be fooled, for we have already tasted the good wine.” (Chayei Moharan II, p. 10, #20).
The Truth is compared to the good wine, once you taste it there is no going back and there is no chance of getting fooled by the lies of this world.

Torres, Sangre de Toro 2013 - The Plastic Bull Wine
In this video we take on the bull by its horns! A wine that has been around since way before I even tasted wine. Sangre de Toro, Blood of the Bull, a wine from the family owned wine gigant Torres.
From Spain, Catalunya, a red wine blend made of Garnacha and Cariñena. It also comes with a tiny plastic bull. A collective toy that has been changing its design through the years. The bull is a great symbol of Spain, and a great marketing strategy.
