Josetta Saffirio winery is an organic vineyard in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy situated outside the village of Monforte d'Alba. Here you see the owner and vintner Sara Vezza discussing how she came to be a winemaker and the qualities that make her wines unique. Shot on location and edited by me in the Spring of 2012.

A Vespa allows you to experience the region better and be one with the landscape, because you're free, because you aren't locked up inside a car, and you feel more under your feet. This is why you should ride a Vespa. The reason to ride a Vespa should be to know more, satisfy your curiosity, meet people, learn about places. And if once in a while we sip a glass of wine, nothing will happen.

Roberto Conterno, the owner of Barolo’s legendary Giacomo Conterno, is one of the most gifted winemakers in the world. His top Barolo, Giacomo Conterno Monfortino, is one of the most compelling red wines on Planet Wine. On a bright and cold winter’s day in January, James visited Roberto in Monforte d’Alba and tasted his 2014 Barolos from the barrel, as well as the fabled 2010 Monfortino.
